Pre-order Audeze Mobius Planar Cinematic headphones for $250

Audeze had been teasing this and the tease has now solidified. The Mobius is a planar-magnetic cinematic immersion 3D type of a headphone and for a limited time, you can be among the first to pre-order it at IndieGoGo for $250 as an early bird special price. The official price will be $400 when it launches. Note that delivery is Massdrop-like, June 2018. It ships worldwide. They have a total of 1000 available, with 656 available at the $250 tier. There are many more available in the $299+ tiers.

PS: it turns out, the first fifty to commit to this were able to pre-order it for $200. Needless to say, that sold out very quickly…

Hidizs AP60 Pro DAP for $80 w/free S&H [MD]

Among its features is 2-way bluetooth control, which allows your smartphone to control it. An interesting proposition! It also serves as a USB DAC/amp when connected to a computer. It takes microSD cards up to 256GB. But it has not embraced USB-C, it’s still microUSB. It would probably be too expensive to go USB-C 3.1 given the price but at least USB-C would make connecting the cable easier 🙂

Bluetooth-wise it supports version 4.0 with apt-X. The user interface does not have a rotating center dial like the Fiio X1, but it looks to be of similar chunky size, which is good because it falls to the bottom of your pocket ~ harder to fall out 🙂

Fiio X1 II (2nd Gen) DAP for $90

I’m not sure when the price dropped but I just now noticed it. The new condition Fiio X1 II (second generation) digital audio player is now down to $90 with frees shipping at Adorama and various Prime-eligible sellers at Amazon…

I haven’t seen or touched the second generation model which does not seem to be doing well review-wise, it averages 3.1 out of 5 at Amazon based on 230+ customer reviews and it has nearly 150 answered questions.

I have and I’m using the first generation model. So far I only posted a text and pictures unboxing. The first generation did better in reviews at amazon.com, 3.9 out of 5 based on 560+ customer reviews and with nearly 500 answered questions.
