Used Sennheiser HD 280 PRO for $54

Of potential interest if buying a price point, the closed-back over-ear frequently-recommended at the $100 closed price range, Sennheiser HD 280 currently available in “Used – Good” condition (missing accessories, repackaged) for $54~ with free shipping by Amazon Warehouse Deals (AWD). Items sold by AWD come with a 30 day return policy, so be sure to put through the paces during that time to make sure there are no hidden issues. They average 4.4 out of 5 based on over 2200 customer reviews.

PS: if you prefer it in new condition, they have a bundle with a $15 Amazon Gift Card for $100. This is one of a few Sennheiser headphones that are bundled with Amazon Gift Cards (including the HD600, HD650, HD380, HD25-1 II).

Sennheiser GAME ONE for $128

If you are a fan of gaming headphones, the Sennheiser GAME ONE, the white-black-red color-scheme is currently on sale for $128 with free shipping, in new condition, at NewEgg and Amazon with a limit of five per customer at each retailer. Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 for just under $230 (iOS and Android)

Now that the dust settled from that goofy lightning deal, these are the current non-lightning sale (or price match) prices of the second generation closed-back over-ear Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 headphones, in new condition, at Amazon by Amazon actual, under $230 as of the time of this post:

+ iOS versions around $230 in either the black or ivory color scheme

+ Android version for $224 in the black color scheme

Sennheiser HD 650 + M-Audio AV32 Monitors + Blue Yeti USB Mic for $500

If you happen to need all three of these (sounds like an NBA play by play line?), then this is a good deal, $500 gets you these three new condition items: the open-back Sennheiser HD 650 headphones, the M-Audio AV32 10W Studio Monitor speakers, and the Blue Microphones Yeti USB Microphone at Amazon by Amazon actual.

The speakers currently go for $100 and the Yeti for $130 (Sting is still looking for him), making the HD650 a very reasonable $270. Now if you don’t need (or can sell/trade/gift) the two extras, then it becomes a more complicated decision.

This is not the only bundle offer, there are more Sennheiser + Gifts/Bundles offers running at Amazon.

[DEAD] Ends Thursday 7pm ET: Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 Over-Ears Lightning Sale for $250 [Lowest Prices before the sale around $230]

This turned out to be a goofy thing as the Lightning Deal price of $250 was higher than most of the current prices of the other color/OS combos. It looks like Amazon needs to adjust their pricing algorithms when having lightning deals of items that are already discounted or price-matched in other color schemes, otherwise they won’t generate sales and/or have unhappy customers…. A new post summarizing the best current non-lightning deal prices is coming…

Used Sennheiser HDVD 800 Headphone Amplifier with DAC for $1540

The Sennheiser HDVD 800 Headphone Amplifier with DAC has multiple used listings at Amazon Warehouse Deals (AWD), so this maybe something to keep an eye out for in case prices dropped further. The lowest option as of the time of writing is “Used – Acceptable” condition for $1540, with the price increasing by about $100 as you go from that to “Used – Good” and “Used – Very Good”. All these are by AWD actual, so you get Prime shipping if a member.

Used Sennheiser RS 120 RF Wireless for $35

If you are looking for a better than entry-level RF-wireless pair of headphones and you are comfortable with used, as of the time of writing, there is one listing of the Sennheiser RS 120 in “Used – Good” condition for $35~ by Amazon Warehouse Deals (AWD) by AWD actual, so it is eligible for free 2-day Prime shipping. These headphones have been around for a while, they average 4.1 out of 5 based on over 10,000 customer reviews.

This is RF wireless, not bluetooth. They are not using the Kleer protocol. That’s higher up the RS1x0 line-up. The latest generation of the RS series does not appear to be using Kleer technology (perhaps licensing fees and such).

Sennheiser HD600 + $150 Gift Card for $400

If you want an open-back Sennheiser HD 6xx headphone, but you prefer the HD600 or you are not interested in the previously mentioned HD650 portable bundle, there’s another option, you can get the new condition open-back over-ear Sennheiser HD600 with a $150 plastic Amazon Gift Card, all together for $400 with free shipping at Amazon by Amazon actual. Given the value of the gift card, you are essentially paying $250 for a new pair of the 600s. If you don’t need the gift card, you can easily sell/trade it for near close its actual value. Amazon gift cards are popular.

PS: a few other Sennheiser headphones are bundled with Amazon Gift Cards, but both their prices and availability (seasonal or price matches?) may change over time, so it’s something to keep an eye out for.

Sennheiser HD650 + Fiio E12 Mont Blanc Amp + Fiio X3 II DAP for $550

It’s bundle time, if you happen to need all three of them, $550 gets you the Sennheiser HD650 headphones, the Fiio X3 second generation digital audio player, and the Fiio E12 Mont Blanc headphone amplifier. Click on the “show details” link there to expand it and see clickable links to the three products included (that’s where you see that the Fiio X3 is indeed the second generation). The seller is Adorama.com, an authorized dealer. No coupons, no rebates, simply add to cart and proceed.

The bundle is more of interest if you typically use a variety of devices in different situations, since the two Fiios are more portable devices, and the HD650 is an open-back 300 ohm headphone. There is one review there, the reviewer says 100 hours of non-stop white-noise greatly improved the sound. It does not say whether the reviewer was listening to those 100 hours of non-stop white noise or not 🙂

Sennheiser HD429 S for $35 w/free shipping

As of the time of writing there is one listing of the open-back over-ear Sennheiser HD 700 headphones in “Used – Good” condition (minor cosmetic imperfections, damaged packaging) for $355~ [was $379~] with free shipping by Amazon Warehouse Deals (AWD) actual. The rest of the used listings are by marketplace sellers and go for more.

Screenshot of that above. As usual, please keep in mind that used quantities are very limited typically and their prices can change more often. The text here cannot be updated automatically when something changes, and I cannot be glued to the screen 24×7 refreshing, so it may be sold out by the time you see this…

Meanwhile the new condition model currently goes for $527~ with a limit of five per customer. This price looks to be a price-match of someone else, internal or external (to Amazon).

Sennheiser HD 518 for $50

The Sennheiser HD 518 open-back over-ears, their entry-point in their current HD-5xx line-up is on sale again, going for $50 with free shipping (and Premier and Shoprunner eligible) at NewEgg by Newegg. Limit five units per customer during this sale.

It is back: Sennheiser HD600 and $150 Gift Card for $400

It is back! If you are interested in the new condition open-back over-ear Sennheiser HD 600, the gift card promotion is back at Amazon.com. You pay $400, and you get the new condition HD 600 and a $150 plastic Amazon Gift Card! Limit 30 bundles per customer. No coupon is needed, just add to cart and checkout. This is a sale, not part of the lightning deals, so it could last hours or days or weeks or years ~ I do not know.

UPDATE: you can also check for other Sennheiser + Gift Card bundles at Amazon.

Sennheiser HD 598 Special Edition for $130 (limit 2)

The Sennheiser HD 598 Special Edition (with the more conventional color scheme) are currently on sale for $130 with free shipping, not part of a lightning deal, at Amazon by Amazon actual. There is a limit of two pairs per customer during this sale. Used prices currently start at $104 for these. They are part of the three-tier HD 5×8 series, of which much has been written about, so you should be able to find enough information to help you triangulate between them all.

Sennheiser HD 650 + MAudio AV32 Speakers + Yeti USB Mic for $500

If you happen to need all three of these (or can sell/trade/gift the ones you don’t need), Amazon is back with another Sennheiser HD 650 bundle. For $500, in new condition, you get the HD 650 headphones, the M-Audio AV32 Professional Studio Monitor Speakers (3″ Woofer; $100 on their own) and the Blue Microphones Yeti USB Microphone (whiteout color scheme; $120 on its own). So within this bundle, assuming you place that value on those two items, the HD 650 is valued at $280.

The Gift Card Bundle is back as well, but it only comes with a $100 Gift Card this time for a total price of $500. Not a good deal.

PS: this search link shows some of the other Sennheiser Amazon Gift Card bundles currently available.

Sennheiser IE 80 In-Ears for $249

The Sennheiser IE80 in-ears are currently on sale for $249 with free shipping, with a limit of five pairs per customer at this price at Amazon by Amazon actual. Another seller (Beach) has them for the same price and Prime eligible as well (in case you need more than five pairs right now).

Sennheiser HD25-1 II and $75 Gift Card for $250

The Sennheiser HD25-1 II headphones are bundled with a $75 plastic Amazon Gift Card, together in a bundle for $250 with free shipping, which is the same price for the headphones alone. You don’t need any coupons, just add this bundle to the shopping cart and proceed.

In a parallel gift card promotion, the HD 280 Over-Ears are bundled with a $15 Amazon Gift Card for $100.

PS: the previously mentioned HD 600 and HD 650 offers are dead and the urls for those particular offers currently return 404s (it was the HD600 with $150 Gift Card for $400 and the HD650 with a $200 Gift Card for $500). The crazy 3-headphone bundles are also 404s. I don’t know if they were a limited time thing or they get activated only during special times or as price-matches. Only time will tell 🙂

Sennheiser CX Earbud Grab Bag for $29 shipped

If you are interested in the Sennheiser CX series earbuds, members-only Massdrop has another “grab bag” promotion. You pay $25 plus $4 flat shipping, and for that you receive one pair that is either the CX 1.00 (60% of the people), or one of the more expensive models (2.00 or 5.00). Randomness decides what you get, but in the worst case scenario, you get the CX 1.00. Limit two per customer during this sale which ends in about five days (from blog-posting date).

In addition to that, they have some bonus items that will be randomly won by buyers. The more units get purchased, the more bonus items get unlocked. These appear to be gear from other recent or on-going drops (TH-X00, DACport Slim, etc). The chances of getting one of these are fairly low.

These purchases will ship late April 2016, so keep that in mind if you need them to get here yesterday 🙂

Sennheiser CX 475 for $20 with free S&H

Sennheiser IE 80 In-Ears for $307 [limit 5]

The Sennheiser IE 80 in-ears are on a sale cycle again, going for $307 with free shipping with a limit of five per customer at Amazon by Amazon actual. Interstingly there are no used units available on Amazon at the moment.

Used Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 for $182+

Sennheiser is stubborn on the prices of the Momentum 2.0 Over-Ears, so if you want them right now, going used may almost halve the price, depending on which model and OS combination you want. Taking a look at the latest Amazon Warehouse Deals (AWD) situation shows a variety of options. As usual, be careful when buying from marketplace sellers (not AWD Actual), since almost any person or business entity can sell there.

The link above shows the lowest price for each particular combination. To see all available sellers for a particular option, click on the “See all offers for this product” links next to it. For example, the lowest price shown on the above link for the Apple Black option is $170 by a “just launched” seller. This is way too risky for most people, so when you click on the “See all offers for this product”, you will be shown the detailed listings for that particular model, which include “Used – Very Good” for $182~ by Amazon Warehouse Deals actual.

Used Sennheiser PXC 250 II Collapsible ANC On-Ears for $54

The lightweight Sennheiser PXC 250 II Collapsible Active Noise Cancelling on-ear headphones are currently available in “Used – Very Good” condition (various cosmetic imperfections, damaged packaging) for $54~ with free shipping by Amazon Warehouse Deals.

While there, you may also notice an offer for $46 shipped by a marketplace seller in “Used – Good” condition. This one is not eligible for Prime shipping, and since you are dealing with the seller (not Amazon Customer Service) it is a higher risk purchase.

[DEAD] Sennheiser HD 518 for $50

The middle “child” of the current HD 5xx line-up is on sale again, the open over-ear HD 558 is currently going for $100 with free shipping, with a limit of five per customer at Amazon by Amazon actual. It averages 4.6 out of 5 based on 800+ customer reviews and has 180+ questions answered. Certainly not an unknown.

PS: there are a number of other on-going discounts of Sennheiser headphones. Check the blog’s previous deal-posts on them for more details.

Sennheiser Urbanite XL Over Ears for $100 [iOS or Android]

The black and blue-denim color-schemes of the closed over-ear Sennheiser Urbanite XL headphones in both the Android and iOS versions (the cables are the difference) are on sale for $100 with free shipping at Amazon.com with a limit of five per customer. Use the thumbnail pictures to navigate the color/OS combinations, and pay attention to who the featured seller is, as it changes as you switch from one option to another.

But that’s not all. If you are comfortable with used headphones, their prices start at around $60 in “Used – Very Good” condition at Amazon Warehouse Deals. This link shows the lowest price for each color/OS combination. If you are interested in a particular one, click on “See all offers for this product” or click on its thumbnail picture towards the top of the page over there.

Sennheiser Urbanite On-Ears for $60 [three iOS colors]

The closed on-ear Sennheiser Urbanites are on sale for $60 per pair in three iOS colors, Black, Sand and Blue Denim at Amazon.com. You can switch between the colors and OS options by clicking on their little pictures over there. Note that the featured seller is different for each one, so make sure you locate the ones that say “Sold by: Amazon.com” and not by marketplace sellers (unless you are familiar and trust the marketplace sellers). The limit is five per color per customer for the ones shipped by Amazon actual. The whole set averages 4 out of 5 based on 100+ customer reviews.

Sennheiser HD 280 PRO and $15 Gift Card for $100

If you happen to want or need the closed over-ear Sennheiser HD 280 PRO headphones right now, and you can’t wait for them to go on sale in the future, there is a gift card bundle of them at Amazon.com that bundles them with a $15 Amazon Gift Card (plastic gift card that will be mailed to you) for $100 with free shipping… Their other bundle (of four options) that has a price advantage over buying the items separately is the one with a Blue Mic Snowball Ice microphone for $110 total…

PS: another headphone that has different bundles at Amazon is the HD 380 PRO, however, as of the time of writing, none of the bundles (Gift Card or Blue Mic or Creative E1 amp) have a discount advantage. Their prices and offers change over time, but I have no idea when these bundles will become favorable.

Used Sennheiser HD 598 SE for $90

The more conventionally (by Sennheiser standards) colored HD 598 Special Edition headphones currently have one listing in “Used – Good” condition for around $90 by Amazon Warehouse Deals, however, be warned, this listing is not perfect, it says “Missing Earbud cover / pad. Missing Owner / User Manual”. It will be in damaged but original packaging. The rest of the used listings are from marketplace sellers.
