[DEAD] Ends Thursday 7pm ET: Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 Over-Ears Lightning Sale for $250 [Lowest Prices before the sale around $230]

This turned out to be a goofy thing as the Lightning Deal price of $250 was higher than most of the current prices of the other color/OS combos. It looks like Amazon needs to adjust their pricing algorithms when having lightning deals of items that are already discounted or price-matched in other color schemes, otherwise they won’t generate sales and/or have unhappy customers…. A new post summarizing the best current non-lightning deal prices is coming…

UPDATE 3:01pm Eastern:: the lightning deal price of the brown iOS version is $250. So you can still get it at a better price in other color/OS options at their on-going prices. See post below or click on various color and OS tabs at the Amazon page for the prices of each option…

ORIGINAL POST: Thursday may be a good day to keep an eye on the Amazon Gold Box because according to their schedule, starting at 3pm eastern (12pm pacific) they are going to have a lightning deal on the Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 over-ear headphones. These are indeed the Over-Ears, look at the product descriptions and the product pictures! (There is a separate group of listings for the On-Ears).

The teaser in the Gold Box points to the brown iOS version. I do not know ahead of time if any of the color and OS combinations will be on sale as well.

Pricing is kinda tricky, because this particular one is listed at $350, while the other iOS color options (black and ivory) go for under $230. All Amazon’s own prices, new condition, not marketplace sellers. So for this to be a good lightning deal, it kinda has to beat the $230 prices, otherwise, what’s the point?

Android prices have a similar pattern, the brown goes for $350, while the other two colors go for less. The Black Android is the lowest for $224.

So I don’t know what to tell you. Will the lightning deal beat these prices? Are these lower prices price-matches of other retailers that’s why they are so low and could potentially “defeat” Amazon’s own lightning deal price? We will have to find out tomorrow I’m afraid…
