The totally unpredictable these days “Amazon Price Match” has kicked in for the new condition open-back over-ear Sennheiser HD518 headphones, going for $50 with free shipping, with a limit of three per customer at Amazon by Amazon actual.
As of 4/5/16, the $37~ used options got sold (it wasn’t me ~ I did not buy it!)… If you prefer an even lower price, you can get them for $37~ in “Used – Good” condition (minor cosmetic imperfections, damaged packaging) by Amazon Warehouse Deals.
This is tempting so as to have a frame of reference of the HD5xx series, but I will let it sit for at least 24 hours before I consider buying it so our readers will have a chance at it first. Plus I am horribly backlogged on the headphones I should be reviewing. Although the main reason the reviews are backlogged is because I’m trying to find a different way of reviewing headphones. I really don’t want to be writing nebulous inside-baseball terms that mean different things to different people 🙂
