TaoTronics Bluetooth apt-X Earphones for $26 [limit 3]

On the utilitarian front, the new condition TaoTronics Bluetooth apt-X Earphones, with IPX5 Splash Proof Rating, and magnetic shells, are on sale for $26 per pair, with a limit of up to three pairs per customer by a marketplace seller with the orders fulfilled by Amazon, so free 2-day Prime shipping or Same-Day Delivery (with $35+ orders; eg two pairs).

Non-Prime members get free shipping as well, the usual “Super Saver shipping”.

These can play music only through bluetooth. There is no 3.5mm input (as it is often the case with earphones, which don’t have the space to offer both options like over/on-ears can). These average 4.4 out of 5 based on nearly 800 customer reviews, and they have nearly 50 questions answered.

PS: for apt-X to work, both your music source and the earphones must support it. Bluetooth works in a lowest common denominator fashion, so if your music source does not support apt-X or has an older Bluetooth version, they’ll connect using the lowest common protocol, not apt-X.

[DEAD] Bose Mobile earphones for $40 with free S&H

As of 8/16/17 PM recheck, this is sold out and cannot be ordered… I will be checking in the future to see if it comes back…

This is not quite in-ear, and not quite earbuds. They have a speaker-y protrusion that enters the ear canal, but unlike IEMs, it does not seal or stay there. The combination of this and their “Stay Hear” gels help them stay on the ears. I’ve used these, convenience is their #1 feature. You can’t get a seal, so you are not going to get ideal sound like you get with a conventional IEM. I need to post reviews of many things, but for now, it’s one sentence opinions 🙂

Open-Box BeatsX bluetooth earphones for $80

The Beats X bluetooth earphones are available in “New – Hassle Free” condition, or open-box or brown-box or whatever you wanna call it: you get the earphones and original accessories but not in the retail packaging. Instead they will come in a brown box or a white box or bulk packaging. This condition means a discount, you pay $80 with free shipping at Tech Rabbit.

Tech Rabbit offers a 30-day return policy and a 1-year warranty covered by them (not the manufacturer). Only the black color scheme is currently in-stock.

Philips SHP9500S return to eBay for $53

If you prefer to shop on eBay, or if you have eBay or PayPal gift cards or store credit or eBay Bucks waiting to get spent, the new condition open-back over-ears Philips SHP9500S headphones are back in-stock, going for $53 with free shipping from the NewEgg eBay store. You can buy as many as you like.

The price has gone as low as $49 as far as I can recall. I have a simple unassuming text and pictures unboxing. I’m planning to use these as a guinea pig for my long form review, but “The Winds of Winter” may arrive before I finish that 🙂

To cut a long story short, these are a great value for their price, but not as good as their out of control hype made them out to be. More specifically, there is room for improvement on the sound quality front.
