It looks like Amazon’s price bots price-matched a marketplace seller, dropping the new condition Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO (250 ohm) closed-back over-ears to $149 with free shipping, sold and shipped by Amazon actual.
This is not a lightning deal, but a price-match, so the expiration date is unknown (either when the other seller raises their price or runs out, or when the Amazon Price Bots decide to change the price based on whatever AI criteria they use).
AudioQuest Nighthawk Wood Headphones for $299
The new condition AudioQuest Nighthawk Wood Headphones are currently on sale for $299 with free shipping, sold by Music Direct through Amazon.com. They ship directly from Music Direct, and they are not Prime eligible.
Per the listing, these ship in “easy to open packaging”. The Audio Quest website says they are an authorized dealer.

Massdrop x Sennheiser HD 6XX is back for $200 [ships XMas]
It is back on! The open-back over-ear Massdrop x Sennheiser HD 6XX headphones are running again at the Massdrop website for $200 with free shipping. A total of 4500 units are available as part of this drop, which runs until October 23/24 in 2017. Under 1200 units have been sold as of the time of writing, so you have plenty of time to decide.
This makes the HD 600 vs HD 650 vs HD 6XX more complicated. It is made in Ireland and comes with a 2-year warranty, and surprise-surprise, this is shipping faster than the previous time. The shipping estimate for this is December 20, 2017, so it’s “just” two months and change. About half the wait time than before 🙂

New and Shipping: portable Fiio BTR1 Bluetooth Headphone DAC/Amp for $100
Fiio has launched a new product and it’s already shipping! It is the new BTR1 bluetooth headphone DAC/amp, all in one portable device, with Bluetooth 4.2 and apt-X support. It has a fashion-y clip as well. I hope that if/when the clip breaks off, it breaks off clean like it did with the good old Sandisk Clip Plus mp3 players 🙂
This has its own mic/remote controls, so it may be one way to “bluetoothize” and “buttonize” your wired un-buttoned earphones/headphones. Note that this is a bluetooth receiver, not a bluetooth transmitter. This is not a DAP, it does not spit out music, it grabs music from your phone or other bluetooth-transmitter playback sources.
As of the time of writing, it is in-stock and shipping for $100 by the Tinbel Store, with the orders fulfilled by Amazon, so Prime members get free 2-day shipping.

Multiple listings also means price pressure may build over time and cause further discounting, so if you don’t want them right away, this is something to keep an eye out for. They are available in eight (!) different color schemes at the official Parrot USA store. This is their latest model, with Bluetooth, ANC, touch controls on the earcup, custom Zik app, USB Audio (while charging), optional wireless charger, 3.5mm playback, replaceable batteries (and compatible with the Zik 2).
They have an impressive feature set, but they also have their issues though, so be sure to read up on reviews and such if you are not familiar with them. Keep in mind though, most people were reviewing them as $250 and $350 headphones, not as $150 headphones.
I haven’t seen or touched a Parrot Zik headphone, so I know nothing Jon Snow 🙂

We have a value bluetooth earphone price war of sorts! Mayhaps jealous of the $20 Vava Moov daily deal, Taotronics has dropped the price of their new condition TaoTronics Bluetooth earphones to $20 in the black color scheme. These too support apt-X and have their own “CVC 6.0” noise cancellation.
They average 4.3 out of 5 based on nearly 650 customer reviews and have nearly 50 questions answered. The noise cancelling mayhaps explains the thicker body, because ANC hardware does not happen in a vacuum [puns intended?]
