Used Schiit Audio Asgard 2 Head-Amp for $237
In new condition, the Schiit Audio Asgard 2 Headphone Amplifier goes for $249 plus mandatory shipping at the Schiit website or for $279 with free shipping (including 2-day Prime for members) at Amazon.
With these prices in mind, the Asgard 2 is available in “Used – Good” condition (no further details provided) for $236.57 with free 2-day Prime shipping (for members) by Amazon Warehouse Deals.
The price difference is close until you factor in shipping. For an East Coast zipcode, Schiit’s shipping fees are $16.49 for FedEx Ground, $30 for USPS Priority, $36 for FedEx 2-day. Because Schiit is in Southern California, West Coast shipping is less, for example, $14 USPS, $20 FedEx 2-Day.
Likewise, their PYST RCA cable goes for $20 + shipping on the Schiit website, versus $24 with free 2-day Prime shipping fulfilled by Amazon. Again, the shipping fee and delivery speed is the decider here.
Speaking of Schiit, the ebook co-authored by the two company co-founders remains on sale for $3.82 in Kindle e-book format. This 383-pager is the story of the company, most of which you can also find in parts in the Head-Fi forums ~ which are certainly not as readable or mobile as a Kindle ebook 🙂

If you prefer to buy Schiit Audio products from Amazon instead of directly from Schiit Audio, especially if you are a Prime member (since you get free 2-day shipping), you can get the Magni 2 Uber Headphone Amplifier in “Used – Very Good” condition (small scratches, damaged original packaging) for $152~ [WAS $143~] with free shipping by Amazon Warehouse Deals (AWD) actual. Only one of the listings is from AWD actual, so it may be gone by the time you read this.
The new condition price of this at Amazon is $179 while it is $149 plus mandatory shipping at the Schiit website. To get Prime-like shipping you may have to upgrade to more expensive shipping (varies by location/zipcode).
Speaking of which, the ebook written by the company’s two co-founder about the company’s history is on sale for $3.82 in the Kindle format (over 380 pages). It averages 4.8 out of 5 based on 23 customer reviews.

The first generation Schiit Audio Fulla USB Dongle DAC/Amp is a closeout product, and it is one of a very few Schiit products that sells for the same price on their website and at Amazon, $59. Typically the prices at Amazon are higher because of the overhead and fees (from a seller’s and a manufacturer’s perspective). Since the Schiit website does not offer free shipping, in this case, buying the first generation Fulla fulfilled by Amazon is cheaper since you don’t pay shipping and if you are a Prime member, you get free 2-day shipping on it.
Speaking of Schiit Audio, the Kindle e-book (383 pages) that is the story of the company is currently on sale for $3.82. It comes out to a penny per page. Perhaps Schiit is trying to be funny with the ebook price too, not just the company and product names 🙂

Per the listing, this is missing the power cord and the user manual, and comes in damaged original packaging. Note that supplies are typically very limited on used items, so it may be gone by the time you read this.

However if you prefer the previous generation model, it has been discounted by Schiit fulfilled by Amazon to $59 with free shipping (Prime eligible). This is the same price as the Schiit website that charges mandatory shipping. Almost everything Schiit at Amazon costs more than the Schiit website but Amazon offers free shipping, while Schiit charges shipping.
PS: Schiit products too are now targeted by those super-low price marketplace sellers with the “contact us before buying”, so be careful. If the seller is not familiar and they ask you to do strange things (like contact them before buying) avoid avoid avoid!
