Fry’s Black Friday doorbuster is Sennheiser RS-135 RF for $49 (after promo code)

Fry’s revealed their chaotic Black Friday Ad and I went through them and integrated them into our BF Ads Summary post. Most of their offers require “Promo Codes”. You get those in emails by signing up to their emailing list. They have their own way of doing things 🙂

The big doorbuster headphone-wise is the Sennheiser RS 135 RF set that will go for $49 AFTER you use your promo code from the email of that day. The offer will run on Black Friday only, and you can buy only one, either online or at their B&M store.

The teaser (seen above) in the Ad page does not mention the model name, but when you click on the link or search for the product number 8772561, it takes to the page of the Sennheiser RS 135.

JBL Everest 710 Bluetooth Over-Ears for $125

The NewEGG Black Friday sale is up and running with over 3K products participating. Among them is the new condition JBL Everest 710 Bluetooth Over-Ears in the gunmetal color scheme offered for $125 with free shipping. This is sold by Electronics EXPO through the NewEGG website. Limit three per customer.

But this appears to have propagated through the interwebs as well, a trio of sellers offer it for the same price fulfilled by Amazon, and so does the Harman Audio eBAY store and the official JBL / Harman store. It’s a small internet world 🙂

NuForce BE2 Bluetooth IEMs for $40 w/free S&H [MD]

Another offer has unlocked at members-only Massdrop, it is the new condition NuForce BE2 Bluetooth IEMs offered for $40 with free shipping. The offer runs for the next four days (from blog-posting date) and it is estimated to ship mid-December 2017. There are two color scheme options you can select from during the checkout process. These ship from Massdrop. There is no mention of warranty in the listing.

Wow! Crazy discount time! The new condition Audio Technica ATH-DSR7 BT over-ears are on sale for a limited time for $130 with free shipping by Best Buy on eBay (the first link) or by Best Buy directly.

This is the “deputy” model of the ATH-DSR9-BT that made their debut a few months ago with AT’s claims of the “Pure Digital Drive”.

As of the time of writing, these have not been price-matched by amazon.com.

Sennheiser HD 660 S now orderable at Amazon

Deciding on a Sennheiser HD 6??-series headphone is more complicated these days. You have the old guard of the HD 600 and HD 650, the Massdropping HD 6XX, and the price-dropping HD 700. But that’s not all. Sennheiser is releasing the brand new HD 660 S as well, with a starting price of $500, and this new headphone is now slowly starting to roll out.

If you are a fan of shopping at Amazon, you can now purchase it for $500 at Amazon by Amazon actual. The stock situation is “Temporarily out of stock”, so the shipping estimate is nebulous at the moment, so if you are buying it as a holiday gift for someone, keep that in mind.

The sale is back on! Audio Technica’s entry in the stylish closed-back over-ears, the wired ATH-MSR7 are on sale, in both colors (black or gunmetal-grey/brown) for $149 with free shipping by various at Amazon and Dell Home (handy if you have promotional Dell e-certificate to spend since they only last 90 days).

The sale also dropped the price of the ANC model, the ATH-MSR7NC to $199 by various at Amazon and aSavings on eBay and BuyDig on eBay. The ANC model is only available in one color scheme.

Sennheiser HD 206 Closed Over-Ears for $29 w/free S&H

Sennheiser’s timing was a bit off. The HD 202 / HD 201 got discontinued before they could reap the benefits of a very favorable Innerfidelity review, which is part of the reason why you see them have crazy prices now 🙂

There was one old school replacement model in the HD 20X series though, and it is currently on sale, it is the closed-back over-ear HD 206 going for $29 with free shipping at Amazon by Amazon actual with up to three per customer at the sale price. They average 3.7 out of 5 based on 26 customer reviews. I do not know how these sound compared to the HD 202 / HD 201.

A 15% off green clip-on coupon at Amazon offers 15% off the current prices of the House of Marley Smile neckband earphones. The Denim color scheme has the lowest price of the four colors, going for $40 before coupon. The coupon drops it to $34. The clip-on coupon works only if Amazon actual is the seller. The earphones average 3.6 out of 5 based on 31 customer reviews.

Since the neckband category is ever-increasing in popularity with everyone from Sennheiser to Sony jumping in, I am creating a new blog category to track them here. So instead of having them under the In-Ears category, now they will go in their own Neckband Earphones 🙂

Most of this kind are wireless (a place to put the battery/hardware for bluetooth/ANC), but the category will include wired and anything else that has some kind of a neckband. I won’t go far back-edit all the older posts, so this category will grow over time. Also by calling them “earphones” I am side-stepping further classification complications such as in-ears, earbuds, bone construction, etc 🙂
