Used V-Moda Forza wired in-ears for $60 [updated]

More V-Moda action. In addition to the $180 sale on the Crossfade Wireless mentioned earlier, on the in-ear front, the black color scheme of the V-Moda Forza wired in-ears with the 3-button Apple remote/mic are available in “Used – Like New” condition (damaged original packaging) for $60 [WAS $52~] with free shipping by Amazon Warehouse Deals actual.

this is a lower risk used condition because sometimes this description refers to a dinged up box, which may have never been opened. But there’s no guarantee that it will be so, Amazon Warehouse Deals works in mysterious ways 🙂

Shure In-Ear Sales: SE-425 for $249, SE-535 for $399

It’s not just the over-ears. Some of the Shure in-ears have also gone on sale as well at some of their authornized dealers, such as:

+ SE-425 for $249 at Adorama and various at Amazon

+ SE-535 for $399 at Guitar Center and B&H Photo and various at Amazon

Shure SRH 1440 for $249, SRH 1540 or 1840 for $399 each

We s(h)ure are having a Shure discounting party! In addition to their three digit line-up, their four digit line-up is also on sale. This line-up has two open-back headphones and one closed-back. Listed below by ascending price:

+ open-back SRH 1440 for $249

+ open-back SRH 1840 for $399

+ closed-back SRH 1540 for $399

Shure SRH940 for $249, SRH440 for $79, SRH750 DJ for $99

But that’s not all! The Shure discounting continues with more headphones in their line-up. The three mentioned in this post are all closed-back over-ears. The SRH 440 is down to $79, while the silvery SRH 940 is down to $249. Also down are the DJ-tagged SRH 750 DJ going for $99. Even the lesser known model of this line-up, the SRH 240A has a modest discount, going for $49 instead of $59.

Shure SRH840 Closed Over-Ears for $149

The Shure SRH 840 are one of the “actual studio headphones”, closed-back over-ears with features one could use in a studio. And they are on sale at the moment at a variety of authorized and recognizable dealers, which suggests a manufacturer-initiated sale more likely than a price-match. They are currently going for $149 by various at Amazon and by B&H Photo and Musician’s Friend and various thru Walmart and Guitar Center and such.

V-Moda Crossfade Wireless (Bluetooth) Over-Ears for $180 [four colors; multiple retailer options]

The closed-back over-ear V-Moda Crossfade Wireless headphones are their first generation bluetooth over-ears. These followed up on the M100 wired closed over-ears. They are the previous generation model. The current generation bluetooth model is the V-MODA Crossfade 2 (of which the Rose color scheme supports apt-X).

So the first generation V-Moda Crossfade Wireless is now on sale, down to $180 with free shipping, at Amazon by Amazon actual in the “Gunmetal Black” and “Phantom Chrome” color schemes. Meanwhile the Silver White color schemes goes for $180 by V-Moda’s Amazon store (Prime eligible) and Focus Camera (not).

But Amazon is not the only one offering them for $180! All four colors including the Red which is not on sale at Amazon, go for $180 each at B&H Photo.

Three of the four colors (not the red) are on sale for $180 as well by Musician’s Friend. Don’t forget to use any Backstage Rewards or other gift cards or store credits if you have any!

The same three colors are going for $180 at Guitar Center, who owns Musician’s Friend. The benefit of buying from Guitar Center is that they have a “ship to local store” option for delivery.

But wait, there are MORE options! All four colors are also on sale for $180 with free shipping at Adorama.com.

These headphones can play music over bluetooth, but they also have a conventional 3.5mm audio input on them. They average 4.1 out of 5 based on 386 customer reviews, and have 180 answered questions at amazon.com.

Free Sennheiser HD 4.20s Over-Ears with purchase of Flex 500 Digital Wireless System for $200 total

It’s a Sennheiser Combo Value Meal! For a limited time, if you purchase the Sennheiser Flex 5000 Digital Wireless Headphone system for its current price of $200, you can get the closed-back over-ear Sennheiser HD 4.20s (don’t smoke them!) for FREE!

To get the freebies, you must have both of them in the shopping cart, and both must be sold and shipped by Amazon actual (not marketplace sellers) and in new condition. Add one of each in the shipping cart:

+ Sennheiser Flex 5000 Digital Wireless Headphone

+ Sennheiser HD 4.20s Over-Ears, closed-back
+ oops, almost forgot, we have a text and pictures unboxing here of the HD 4.20s headphones (no annoying audio/video)
+ so mayhaps there is a method to this bundling madness, because the HD 4.20s’s best feature is perhaps the earpads, comfort for long TV viewing/listening sessions

Then proceed to checkout, and at the top right corner of the Checkout page, the current price of the HD 4.20s will be automatically discounted. there’s no coupon code to enter. If you don’t see the discount, it means the promotion expired or something else is wrong. You must see the discount, otherwise you won’t get the discount!

Here’s a screenshot of how it should look:

What the Frell is the Sennheiser Flex 500?

The Sennheiser HD 4.20s is part of the Sennheiser HD 4*.* series, a known entity. But what exactly is this $200 Flex 500 digital wireless headphone thing?

This is based on the product description, I haven’t seen this: it is a more stylish wireless audio system, that is not using Bluetooth, so it is an RF wireless. It has digital optical and analog inputs. The receiver has a built-in rechargeable battery. The transmitter is more stylish than the usual pucks and headphone stand style transmitters of old. It looks more like a stylized doorstop 🙂

You can use any headphones with it, it has a 3.5mm audio port. Included in the package are the MX 475 earbuds [check their product page]. These come standard inside the Flex 500 box.

Since the Flex 500 can take any 3.5mm headphones, the limited Sennheiser promotion is giving the HD 4.20s closed over-ears for FREE since some people may prefer full-size headphones instead of earbuds. You have to manually add the HD 4.20s in the shopping cart to get them for FREE. The MX 475 earbuds come sealed in the Flex 500 package – you don’t have to do anything to get these (other than buy the Flex 500 item).

Note that the Flex 500 is targeting TV viewers. If you are interested in using this for music listening, there are trade-offs to consider versus other wireless audio options, and some of that may depend on exactly where you are planning to use it (RF interference, etc).
