The previously mentioned Musician’s Friends coupon HOLIDAY (17% off orders of $99+) yields a pretty good deal on the new condition V-Moda M100 Crossfade closed-back over-ears in the “Matte Black” color scheme. They are already on sale for $190, but the coupon drops them further down to $157.68. They also come with a FREE BoomPro Gaming, VoIP Headset Mic.

There is definitely discounting movement on the wired M100, the “Matte Black” is down to $181~ at Amazon by Amazon actual but no coupon discount and no free BoomPro mic.

PS: this sale/coupon is for the wired model. The wireless is neither couponized nor discounted.

Beats Solo 3 now available at Costco (don’t know the price)

Costco has a fairly limited selection of headphones, but Apple’s hypetrain has arrived at Costco, the “gloss black” Solo 3 Wireless is available for purchase. This is restricted to members-only. If not a member, you can’t buy it. Unfortunately they don’t show the price to non-members (even if you are a registered shopper with them), so YMMV on what the price might be.

Amazon’s own price on the Gloss Black is $220 while the other colors go for $250, so if I were to guess on the Costco price, is might be in the $220 ballpark (assuming Amazon’s price is a Costco price-match – which is only a guess).

Sennheiser RS120 RF Wireless system for $55 [limit 3]

If you are looking for an RF wireless headphone system, the new condition Sennheiser RS 120 is on sale again for $55 with free shipping at Amazon by Amazon actual with a limit of three per customer. You get the base/transmitter and one headset. The headset only works with the transmitter, you can’t use it a normal headphone. They come with rechargeable battery packs but you can also use your own AA and AAA batteries. A couple of potential issues with these is they are quick to drop the connection on silence, and the power cable connection is not user-friendly. This is good old RF wireless, not Kleer technology which is found on the more expensive model of this line.

Still Good: Hifiman Edition S Open/Closed On-Ears (white) for $150

One the few now surviving Black Friday deals is the white color scheme of the Hifiman Edition S “Open/Closed Back” Dynamic On-Ear headphones continuing to go for $150 by a handful of known marketplace sellers (Kraft, Hifi Heaven, AudioLAB & Advisor, etc) at amazon.com, a couple of which are Prime eligible… The black color scheme goes for $250… The open/closed happens by removing the outer earcup cover. So technically if one buys both colors, they could interchange the earcup covers and have two variations of black-and-white headphones 🙂

The wireless Beats Solo 3 with its “magical” iOS features got most of the attention of the new Beats releases, but their more budget on-ear headphone is now in-stock and on sale, the closed-back on-ear and wired-only Beats EP (it doesn’t even get the Solo name) is on sale and in-stock for $100 Amazon by Amazon actual in four different color schemes with a limit of up to three per color per customer.
