Pre-order new Logitech G533 Gaming Headset

More new headphones are slowly now rolling out at CES 2017 and among them is a new wireless gaming headset from Logitech with DTS 7.1 and such. It is the G533 Gaming Headset and has a pre-order price of $150 at amazon.com. It is in the all-encompassing and mysterious “Temporarily out of stock” status, which may be a sign of a near release or not.

Pre-order new Audeze iSine 10 VR for $400

VR headsets don’t have to be over-ears, and planar magnetics don’t have to be over-ears either. Joining the iSine earphone party (none of them are shipping as of the time of writing) is the brand new “iSine 10 VR” model launched at the uber hype-train that is CES 2017 (our on-going round-up post). This new model has a pre-order price of $400 and already pre-orders are accepted at authorized dealer adorama.com.

Speaking of the iSine line, the options have doubled since the last time I looked, there are now models with just a standard cable, no lightning cable, and for that, you pay $50 less. The iSine 10 pre-orders for $350, while the iSine 20 pre-orders for $550. The Lightning bundles include both a standard and lightning cable.

Pre-order new Beyerdynamic Byron Earphone Trio ($79 to $299)

Beyerdynamic teased these earlier in the summer but they were officially ushered out during IFA 2016 (and I just added them to the ever-growing list of New Headphones there), and they are now available for pre-order at Amazon as follows:

+ Byron (wired in-ear) for $79
+ Byron BT (Bluetooth as the “BT” hints at) for $149
+ Byron BTA (Bluetooth too) for $299

Pre-order new Sony Signature Series DAP and Amp

In addition to the previously mentioned MDR-Z1R flagship headphone available for pre-order for $2200, Sony has also launched two brand new Signature Series (read four figure prices) DAPs and one new component-size headphone-amp. Two of the three are available for pre-order: the $3200 NW-WM1Z digital audio player and the $2200 TA-ZH1ES headphone amp. They are all marked as “Temporarily Out Of Stock”, so an exact shipment date is unknown at the moment.

These too have been added to our on-going post tracking New Headphones at IFA 2016. And more are coming, not just the ones I have yet to post, but Tuesday is the official announcement of the LG V20 phone with its gazillion-bit DAC, and Wednesday is Apple day, quite possibly an existential crisis day for the 3.5mm headphone output at least when it comes to headphones [more on that later].

Pre-order new Sony MDR-Z1R for $2200

We go from a $4 Sony on-ear to a $2200 Made-in-Japan flagship! The brand new Sony MDR-Z1R announced in Berlin at IFA 2016 is now available for pre-ordering for $2200 at Amazon by Amazon actual. There is no release estimate yet, just the all-encompassing “Temporarily out of stock”. Signature is required for delivery for this item.

Shipping Now: brand new Bowers and Wilkins P7 Wireless (Bluetooth) for $400

It can be really unpredictable as to when newly announced headphones will ship. Sometimes they take months to years, but other times they are available right away. The latter is the case with the brand new Bowers and Wilkins P7 Wireless (bluetooth) headphones, they were announced at IFA 2016 and they already in-stock and ready to ship for $400 from Abt Electronics (well-known mid-western retailer).

If you prefer Amazon, they are accepting pre-orders with a September 14 release guestimate for $400.

Pre-order new Sony MDR-1000X for $400 (ANC/BT)

IFA 2016 is underway and it’s raining new headphones left and right. I am trying to catch up and keep up, I just started a dedicated post at the main blog tracking IFA 2016 headphones. It is very organized now, but it will end up turning into chaos like CES 2016 and CES 2015 posts 🙂

With that out of the way, if you are fond of Active Noise Cancelling, Bluetooth, Touch Controls and Sony, and you are the early adopter type, the new Sony MDR-1000X are available for pre-order for $400 in two color schemes (black or ivory) at Amazon by Amazon actual.

Shipping Soon: Sennheiser HD 800 S for $1700

Hide your wallet or hide from your spouse 🙂 The new open-back over-ear Sennheiser HD800 S (“S” is an expensive part of the model name) is going to start shipping soon. Already it is in the “temporarily out of stock” state at Amazon’s website, by Amazon actual, which requires signature on delivery because of the price.

As usual, these are of interest to the early adopters and the audio-curious. As time goes by, more and more will be known about them. Make sure you turn on your hyperbole and exaggeration and hatorade filters ON, they are usually essential when new flagships get released 🙂

This was one of the more high profile headphones that were featured at CES 2016. No as high profile as the new Orpheus obviously 🙂

Pono Music players now available on Amazon

Neil Young’s highly debated Pono music players are now available for purchase at Amazon, offered by Amazon actual. The starting price is $400 and as of the time of writing, they are at the “Temporarily out of stock” shipping state. They are available in either black or yellow.

Not only did they reveal the closed-back ATH-M70x but they also revealed a parallel open-back audiophile-baiting model, the ATH-R70x, and this model is now available for pre-order for $350 at Amazon.com with a May 1st release estimate. As the name suggests, this is a co-flagship with the M70x in this part of their product line-up.
