As of 2/8/15, the price remains, but they are out of stock and cannot be ordered at this time… Now that the second generation of the over-ear Sennheiser Momentums is starting to roll out, more discounting is expected of the first generation. Focal is a well known company, but names don’t make the headphones. Their Spirit One headphones were not as well received by audiophiles as well as their Classic and Professional over-ears. After all, the “One” were targeting more of a consumer sound, with an Apple 3-button mic/remote. Regardless, they are currently available in Used condition with multiple listings at Amazon Warehouse Deals. The “Used – Good” condition go for $80 (was $86, was $96), while “Used – Very Good” for $83 (was $89, was $99). Since there are multiple listings, and if these don’t get scooped up, there is the possibility of the prices dropping further down. These are not the latest model in their line-up.
Now shipping: Sennheiser Momentum M2 Over-Ears for $350
The new Sennheiser Momentum M2 Over-Ears have shyly began shipping from some smaller retailers. At Amazon.com, it is shown as in-stock for $350 by Electronics Expo (99%, over 170k ratings, two brick and mortar stores in New Jersey). There’s also another seller offering them there as well, but the other seller looks too high risk for a $350 purchase (89%, only 36 ratings in last 12 months). These ship directly from the sellers, they are not fulfilled by Amazon.com.
The above if you cannot wait to get them. Otherwise, it’s only a matter of time before Amazon actual and other big name sellers will have them.
