Open Box Used Sennheiser HD 4.40 BT Over-Ears for $74

Getting the Innerfidelity blessing is helping the Sennheiser HD 4.40 bluetooth over-ear headphones keep their prices at a profitable margin, but if you don’t want to wait for another sale (they were a $100 Amazon deal of the day in late November 2017), there is an alternative, you can get them in “Used – Like New” open-box condition by BLINQ through Amazon Warehouse Deals for $74~ with free shipping.

Speaking of the HD 4.* series and Blinq, they have the HD 4.20s closed-back over-ears wired in “Used – Like New” open-box condition for $41~ with free shipping through Amazon Warehouse Deals. We actually have a text and pictures unboxing of these. Their thick earpads are their #1 feature.

Both ship directly from Blinq and are not Prime eligible…

Amazon actual estimates that they will have it in-stock on February 17, Saturday! This as of the time of writing ~ as time goes by, the estimates change…

Sennheiser CX 3.00 In-Ears for $19

More sales on the Sennheiser front, this time it is less than what the ATM spits out 🙂 The new condition Sennheiser CX3.00 in the red/black color scheme is on sale for the very specific price of $18.57 by Amazon actual with up to three pairs per customer. It looks like a group price-match of marketplace sellers. The other two color options go for $21. Free shipping for Prime members or with a $25+ order.

If you need something to get you to $25+ if you are not a Prime member, there are a couple of things we posted earlier today, a Belkin 5-in-1 splitter and Brainwavz earpads.

Sennheiser HD 559 Open Over-Ears for $86

It’s discounting season in SennheiserLandia! Their entry-point into their new 59s open-back line-up is on sale! The new condition HD 559 is on sale for the very specific price of $85.71 at Amazon by Amazon actual with up to three pairs per customer at the sale price.

Sennheiser HD 58X Jubilee return for $150 [MD]

If you missed the previous drop of the Sennheiser HD 58X Jubilee, fear not! The offer is back on, accepting orders again at Massdrop until the end of February 2018. Note however that these will ship in early July 2018, that’s almost five months from blog-posting date.

OOPS, it looks like the HD6XX listing is inactive again… These came back along with the Sennheiser HD 6XX which will also ship in July.

Sennheiser HD 4.20s Closed Over-Ears for $65 w/FS [updated]

UPDATE 2/15/18: the price increased from $56~ to $65~…

IF you love thick and comfortable earpads, the new condition closed-back over-ear designed for mobile (18 ohm, folding, lightweight) Sennheiser HD 4.20s (don’t smoke them!) are on sale for the very specific price of $65~ [WAS $56.25] with free shipping at Amazon by Amazon actual with up to three pairs per customer during the sale. This is not a lightning deal, so expiration time is unknown.

We have a text and pictures unboxing of these with a dozen pictures of the headphones. They weigh 6.3 ounces, and have a 1-button remote/mic. The plug is right-angle. Padding!!!

Sennheiser HD231G On-Ears for $20 w/free S&H

Ending on Thursday night of this week (or earlier if sold out), you can get the new condition Sennheiser HD 231G closed-back on-ears for $20 with free shipping by NewEgg actual with up to five pairs per customer at the sale price. The “G” stands for Galaxy which means it has Android-style 3-button remote on the remote (instead of iOS style or a single button). Other than the buttons, this works with all devices regardless of OS.

PS: usually the button incompatibility is the Volume UP/Down, play/pause work on most combinations of devices [but I obviously haven’t tested them all!].

Sennheiser HD 579 Open Over-Ears for $99

It looks like a marketplace seller at Amazon has triggered an automated price-match by Amazon actual, so as of the time of writing, they are offering new condition open-back over-ear Sennheiser HD 579 for $99 with free shipping with up to three pairs per customer. If this is a price-match, then it’s hard to guess when the price will change. The headphones average 4.4 out of 5 based on 71 customer reviews and have 25 answered questions.

Sennheiser HD 200 with $30 Gift Card for $70 w/free S&H

This 2017 holiday shopping offer has returned! The closed-back over-ear Sennheiser HD 200 studio headphones go for $70 at various retailers, but you can get them for the same price with a $30 B&H Photo electric gift card from B&H Photo. This is an actual gift card, not a promotional gift card.

Used Sennheiser PX 200-II On-Ears for $42.50 + S&H ($3.75 or more)

Sennheiser, like Audio Technica and AKG, mayhaps make more headphone models than most of their employees can recite without preparing the night before 😉 If of all the Sennheiser headphones it is the PX 200-II on-ears in the black color schemes the ones you want, there are currently two listings of them available at Adorama.com in “Used – Excellent” condition for $42.50 plus shipping. Shipping starts at $3.75 for my “test zipcodes” but I obviously can’t test every zipcode out there.

If/when their used inventory sells out, you will no longer see them in the search listings above.

Note that these are without mic/remote as they lack that little “i” that Sennheiser loves to use to indicate that (at least of the i-Device kind since some Androids get a “G” for Galaxy).

Open box Sennheiser HD25 Light On-Ears for $86

The Sennheiser HD25 Light on-ear closed-back DJ headphones go for $130 in new condition at authorized dealers, but if you are comfortable with used, you can get them for $86.49 with free shipping in Open Box condition from BlinQ either thru Amazon or through the BlinQ eBay Store.

Sennheiser HD6XX orders accepted again [July shipment]

IF you want to get a hold of the Sennheiser HD6XX but don’t mind waiting for it for a few months, Massdrop is accepting orders again for a mid-July 2018 shipping. The price is as before, $200 with free shipping [their attempt to raise the price to $250 a few weeks ago failed miserably].

This headphone has been out long enough that much and more has been written about it and in comparison to the HD600 and HD650. So much so that you may have to pierce the veil of nonsense to get to the bottom of things 😉

PS: meanwhile the drop for the sister-wife HD 58X Jubilee model is currently inactive.

PS2: for on-going headphones at Massdrop that you can buy like a “normal” internet purchase, check our Massdrop Tracker. These include the Fostex TH-X00 variations, AKG K7XX variants, an Objective 2 and more.

Used Open Box Sennheiser HD 650 for $256

If of all the various Sennheiser options it is the HD 650 the one you want, it is currently available in “Used – Like New” open-box condition for $256 with free shipping by BLINQ through Amazon Warehouse Deals (AWD). This ships directly from Blinq and it is not Prime eligible. The new condition price is steady at $315 these days at authorized Sennheiser dealers.

The same seller has the all new HD 660S in Used Open Box condition for $438~ also through AWD.

Of note, upsetting the 600/650 truce is the Massdrop HD 6XX for $200 whose “drop” (aka offer) is currently inactive.

Sennheiser CX5.00 In-Ears for $46+

It’s a price match party for two! I don’t know who started by the new condition Sennheiser CX 5.00 in-ears in select color/OS combinations are on sale for $48 with free shipping at Walmart and also by Amazon actual (the Galaxy is actually $46) with up to three per color/OS combination over there. Pre-order new Sennheiser HD820 Closed-Back Flagship Headphone for $2400

If you want to be among the first to get hands ears on the all new Sennheiser HD 820 closed-back flagship headphone, pre-orders are accepted for it for $2400 at the Sennheiser website, along with the B&H Photo website. Their release estimate is early summer 2018, so pretend it’s a Massdrop offering if it will help make the wait less insufferable 🙂

The parallel HDV 820 DAC/amp has no wait, it is already in-stock and shipping at authorized dealers for $2400 as well.

This is one of many new headphones revealed at CES 2018, we are keeping track of them at our CES 2018 headphone summary. I’m adding new releases as fast as I can. This usually takes a couple of weeks of updates before it is finished 🙂 We’ve done these for most major trade shows, you can find all those posts under the New Headphones category.

In-Stock Now: Sennheiser HDV 820 DAC/amp for $2400

CES 2018 is here and we have began rounding up the new headphones at CES 2018 in our annual customary mega-post. It is short now but if you check the previous CES years, you will notice that they balloon to the point of unreadability 🙂

The closed-back HD 820 headphones are the star of Sennheiser’s announcement and the subjects of a long wait until the early summer for release. Coming along with them, but already in-stock and shipping at various retailers is the HDV 820 DAC and headphone amplifier. Both have a price of $2400. The HDV 820 Headphone Amplifier is already in-stock and shipping by various at Amazon and B&H Photo and the official Sennheiser USA store and Hifi Heaven and World Wide Stereo, the last two being their eBay stores.

It’s Back! Sennheiser HD6XX for $200 [MD]

The Sennheiser HD6XX listing at Massdrop is reborn of smoke and salt! It is running again for the next 20 days and change (from blog posting date), or earlier if the 10,000 unit limit is reached. As of the time of writing, 7721 units have been purchased, so there’s plenty of them to go around.

The shipping estimate is the same as the previous drop, late March 2018. They come with a 2-year warranty as they are a Massdrop-Sennheiser collaboration. Limit up to five units per customer at the moment. All sales are final and they will be shipped from Massdrop.

These have been around for a while now, so you can find more reviews and comparisons to other headphones and also the HD600/HD650 duo.

PS: if you don’t want to wait that long, you can try your luck no eBay or other used headphone markets and forums.

Sennheiser HP 02-100 Lightweight On-Ears for $25 with FREE Next Day Delivery

Instant gratification without breaking the bank! Among the eligible products for FREE NeXt DAY Delivery at B&H Photo you can get the new condition Sennheiser HP 02-100 lightweight on-ears. That’s right, you pay $25 and you still get free next day delivery. There’s no coupon for the offer, it happens automatically while this offer is running. The offer expires Thursday at 2pm eastern (or earlier if an item goes out of stock).

NOTE that these are “enhanced speech intelligibility”, they are not an audiophile model.

Still Running: Sennheiser HD6XX for $200 [MD]

Unless it gets extended, the Massdrop offer for the Sennheiser HD6XX open over-ears for $200 is scheduled to close in two days and change (from blog-posting date). They haven’t ran out of units though, under 7000 have been sold with up to 10,000 units available for the offer. These ship in late March 2018, so keep that in mind.

Complicating the decision though is another new entry from Sennheiser-Drop, the HD58X Jubilee edition for $150 but these will ship in late June 2018. They make the HD 6XX feel like they are arriving yesterday 🙂

For headphones that are readily available as a “normal” retail purchase at Massdrop, check our Massdrop Tracker perma-post.

Sennheiser HD 599 Open Over-Ears for $137

Never a dull moment in SennheiserLandia, this time it is the new condition open-back over-ear Sennheiser HD 599 that is on sale for the very specific price of $136.90 with free shipping, sold and shipped by Amazon actual, with up to three pairs per customer.

This is not a lightning deal, so expiration time is unknown. It averages 4.5 out of 5 based on 35 customer reviews and has about half that number in answered questions. As the final “9” reveals in its name, it is part of the latest generation of HD 5** series models.

But this whole line has a newer competitor now for $150, the Massdrop HD 58X Jubilee but keep in mind this ships in late June 2018. Not a typo, June 28 in 2018.

Sennheiser Urbanite XL Over-Ears for $70 [Black, iOS, limit 3]

Urbanites unite and take over! The new condition Sennheiser Urbanite XL Over-Ears, in the black color scheme, with the iOS remote control, are on sale at the moment for $70 with free shipping at Amazon by Amazon actual with up to three pairs per customer. Only this option is currently going for under $100. This is an old school sale, not a lightning deal, so I have no way of knowing when this expires.

You can use these with any music source. The iOS part only means the Volume Up/Down buttons will likely only work on compatible iOS devices, not Androids. These have detachable cables, so you can use a different cable. I don’t remember if you can use any cable or they have a proprietary mechanism. Check the reviews and answered questions over there (or your favorite search engine) if interested. I can’t tell for sure by looking at the product gallery picture #5.

As you can see in our Sennheiser posts, good old Sennheiser has been very active this holiday shopping season with various sales and new product launches too (eg the HD59x Jubilee).
