“Certified Refurbished” as used by Amazon in their own such-branded listings means that the products get a minimum of a 90-day warranty. It doesn’t mean that they are (or are not) manufacturer refurbished. In this particular case, the product description states specifically they are manufacturer refurbished, but Amazon’s own “certified refurbished” tag means (in their own words): “This Certified Refurbished product is tested and certified by the manufacturer or by a third-party refurbisher… Only select sellers who maintain a high performance bar may offer Certified Refurbished products on Amazon…”.
