If you are looking for a headphone to experiment upon, or dissect it for spare parts or other forms of DIYing or experimentation, or use it as decoration, or as the vanguard to protect your favorite headphones from grabby friends and family, Adorama has a used condition Sennheiser HD 429S closed-back over-ear for $7.50 plus $3.75+ shipping.

Per the listing there, page further down, under “What’s in the Box” on the right hand side, this does not sound correct, blown drivers or other such audio issues. So do not buy this to listen to music. Buy it for other reasons (see first paragraph for ideas).

Let me repeat for those who skim and scan, this headphone is not working properly audio wise, which is why it is selling for this super low price! Do not buy for music listening purposes!

Status HD Audio On-Ear Update: New condition Continues for $22 (USED are Sold Out)

And now an update on the Status HD Audio Closed-Back On-Ears we mentioned last week. The 50% off in-cart sale continues, however, since then, the used condition has sold out. Of the new condition, one of the three colors also sold out (the red), but the other two colors, “Jet Black” and “Black with red” continue to be available with a 50% off in-cart discount, going from $44 to $22. The discount only works when “Status Audio” is the seller, with the orders fulfilled by Amazon. Blue MO-FI (powered, wired, over-ears) for $245

The Blue LOLA Closed Over-Ears (wired, unpowered headphones) continue to be on sale for $137 (ship in 1-3 months; limit up to three per customer), but now the sale is joined by their Mo-Fi Powered Headphones (wired, powered, closed-back) going for $245 by Amazon actual. The shipping estimate for these is 2-5 weeks. Sennheiser HD 6XX for $250 (over 4650 units available; ship December 2017)

What a difference $50 makes 🙂 The Massdrop x Sennheiser HD 6XX are now live at the Massdrop website, going for $250 with free shipping instead of their original run price of $200. The new higher price has a silver lining though, it means you can actually buy them without fighting the internet like it’s dial-up 1999, and not only that, but you also have more time to research them and deliberate and get official permission in writing from the Spouse C.F.O 🙂
