Tribit BTH92 FlyBuds 3 truly-wireless for $32

Speaking of truly-wireless, I just started using the Tribit BTH92 FlyBuds 3, a popular model with nearly 20K ratings and a 4.3 out of 5 as of the time of writing. An unboxing post is coming up, and then (hopefully) a review!

The reason I’m writing this now (instead of waiting when the unboxing post is ready) is because they have a limited time 20% off clip-on coupon at the Amazon website, dropping their price from $40 to $32! Both the black and the pink color schemes have the clip-on coupon.

If you are not familiar with Amazon’s clip-on coupons, you have to be logged-in to your Amazon account in order to save/link the coupon to your account. You don’t type a promo code, you just clip the tiny little checkbox near the coupon. You can use it at any time before it expires. The expiration dates vary and sometimes they can expire before the given date (eg if a product is going to be a gold-box/lightning deal, they cancel the coupon, otherwise the price drops too low for them to make any money LOL).

Anyway, back to the Tribits, they promise up to 100 hours of playback when using the included charging case (which also serves as a power bank for external devices {via USB-A}). They are bluetooth 5.0, with iPX8 and of utilitarian interest (eg listening to YouTube or podcasts), you can use each earbud separately, essentially doubling your playback time! The charging case is charged via USB-C thankfully (not micro-USB!)

Too early for me to speak about them review-wise, stay tuned for that in the next few days/weeks 🙂

Sunday: 2pk Tech Theory truly wireless for $25 + S&H

The headphone hobby has gone a little bit out of control with an extended focus on four figure headphones, so let’s counter that with a budget offer 🙂

Among the Woot daily deals for Sunday 3/20/22 is the new condition 2-pack of Tech Theory truly wireless going for $25 plus shipping (free for Prime members). They are available in two color schemes and come with a 1-year Aduro warranty…

The included charging case carries 1200 mAh of juice, which you can also use to charge other external devices (great for Sandisk Clips,or emergency power for today’s power-hungry smartphones).

It does not say which bluetooth version they come with, so the internet search is your friend. I (obviously) don’t know (otherwise I would have written it here).

Personally I avoid anything before bluetooth 5.0, regardless of price ~ unless there’s a very good reason I want/need to buy a specific product. The bluetooth connection and pairing hassles of previous bluetooth versions are just not worth it most of the time 🙂

UPDATE: truly-wireless action at the Sunday NewEGG dailies as well, it’s the return of AUKEY with their EP-T25 truly wireless going for $20, sold by the AUKEY NewEgg store and shipped by NewEgg itself (similar to the “fulfilled by Amazon” thing but for Newegg)…
