The Sony MDR-1000X headphones (ANC and BT) go for $350 in new condition at authorized Sony dealers, but if you want to save a significant amount while still get some warranty, you can get them in certified refurbished condition with a 90-day warranty from Secondipity through Amazon for $230 with free shipping in your choice of Beige MDR-1000X or Black MDR-1000X. The black is fulfilled by Amazon, so it is Prime eligible, but has a limit of up to five units per customer.
Speaking of Sony, in addition to the previously mentioned Sony sales, their XB10 Portable Wireless Speaker with Bluetooth (2017 model) are on sale for $38 each, in three different color schemes.
If you are looking for USB-C earphones, the Monoy LeEco USB-C earphone is currently on sale for $13.88 by Monoy with the order fulfilled by Amazon. These average 3.8 out of 5 based on 31 customer reviews.
This sale ended: The sale mayhaps coincides with the LeEco LePRO 3 being an Amazon deal of the day for $214 until 3am ET on Sunday. This is a new condition, unlocked, with USA warranty model.
PS: note that there are different implementations of audio in smartphones without 3.5mm headphone jack. Some output digital-only (eg iPhones, HTC U11) so you need a DAC/amp, others can output analog audio over USB-C (eg Moto Z).
PS2: note also that smartphones with a USB-C port AND a 3.5mm headphone jack may NOT have implemented analog audio over USB-C. Check forums and specs and such. Do not assume anything about USB-C and Audio until you try it or you read reliable info!
And now we continue “digesting” the USED headphones that were earmarked during yesterday’s Amazon Warehouse Deals session with some Grado action. The open-back Grado SR325e go for $300 in new condition at authorized dealers, but if you want to save some, and you don’t need the user manual or the original pizza box packaging, you can get them in “Used – Good” condition for $239~ by Amazon Warehouse Deals actual. There’s only one listing for this model.
On the other hand, there are multiple used listings for the Grado SR225e which goes for $200 in new condition, but $167~ in “Used – Good” condition. There’s a total of four used listings, so if they don’t move fast enough for Amazon’s price-bots’ liking, their prices may drop further.
The previously mentioned Little Dot Sale at NewEgg FLASH is now under way! A total of six models are participating, with prices ranging from $2800 to $600. These are sold by Shenzhen Audio and will ship free from China. The sale ends Thursday night (7/27/17).
