This is an older 30-pin device, and does not run the latest versions of iOS, so some of your favorite music apps may not run or may not run very well. I’ve had mine for a while, and I haven’t done a factory reset in a couple of years, so I don’t know what app options you’d see as a fresh user.
UPDATE: I forgot to put this in yesterday, the latest the iPod Touch 4 can get to is iOS 6. The latest iOS version is 10.
On the plus side of an older model though, you can find many of its accessories for dirt cheap in the online and offline clearance bins 🙂
