Pelican 1010 Micro Case under $10

If you prefer a proper earphone case instead of repurposing, the red and the yellow color schemes of the Pelican 1010 Micro Cases are currently just under $10 by Amazon actual with a maximum of five per color per customer at the same price. The other colors are currently over $10. Their prices swing depending on when you look. They average 4.7 out of 5 based on 460+ customer reviews and they have 49 answered questions.

PS: pick-n-pluck foam is sold separately and it is not included with the cases…

SMS Audio Street earphones for $10

If you need these for comparison or experimentation (they are doing horribly in reviews, 2.6 out of 5 based on 178 of them), the new condition SMS Audio SMS-EB-PNK Street earphones in the pink/silver/white color scheme are down to $10 by a marketplace seller with the orders fulfilled by Amazon (free shipping for Prime members). Again, these are mostly of interest for comparison and experimentation.

Big KEF Sale on Audio Gear

KEF has launched a sale on select audio gear at their website and a number of those (but not all) have been price-matched at Amazon. As usual, price-check any products whose prices and price-ranges you may not be familiar with. The M400 on-ear headphones for $80 are sold out and cannot be ordered at the moment.

Beyerdynamic Custom i On-Ears for $27 w/FS [max 3]

Doorbuster time! NewEgg actual is offering the new condition Beyerdynamic Custom i On-Ears for $27 [WAS $30] with free shipping with up to three pairs per customer. You just have to add it to the shopping cart to see the price; no promo codes, no mail-in rebates!

It has adjustable bass (three position physical slider on the earcups), removable earcup shields (16 designs included), detachable single-entry cable (but has 3.5mm inputs on each earcup so you can listen to two music sources at the same time). Per the “Specs” it includes a custom case.

This looks very very similar to the Custom Street On-Ears – see our Unboxing and Review Diary of the “Custom Street”. I am not sure what their differences are (other than the name). If they are similar, this is definitely a great value!
