If you are looking for a headphone to experiment upon, or dissect it for spare parts or other forms of DIYing or experimentation, or use it as decoration, or as the vanguard to protect your favorite headphones from grabby friends and family, Adorama has a used condition Sennheiser HD 429S closed-back over-ear for $7.50 plus $3.75+ shipping.

Per the listing there, page further down, under “What’s in the Box” on the right hand side, this does not sound correct, blown drivers or other such audio issues. So do not buy this to listen to music. Buy it for other reasons (see first paragraph for ideas).

Let me repeat for those who skim and scan, this headphone is not working properly audio wise, which is why it is selling for this super low price! Do not buy for music listening purposes!

Status HD Audio On-Ear Update: New condition Continues for $22 (USED are Sold Out)

And now an update on the Status HD Audio Closed-Back On-Ears we mentioned last week. The 50% off in-cart sale continues, however, since then, the used condition has sold out. Of the new condition, one of the three colors also sold out (the red), but the other two colors, “Jet Black” and “Black with red” continue to be available with a 50% off in-cart discount, going from $44 to $22. The discount only works when “Status Audio” is the seller, with the orders fulfilled by Amazon. These average 4.3 out of 5 based on 730+ customer reviews, and have over one hundred peer-answered questions.

PS: since the sale continues, if Amazon Warehouse Deals gets additional used inventory, they should be eligible for half off, as long as “Status Audio” fulfilled by Amazon is the actual seller. Other sellers are not participating in the half off.
