UPDATE 7/13/16 at 4:52pm ET: I don’t know if it’s a feature or a bug, but Amazon’s product pages are changing the default standard prices as prices drop, creating confusion. For example, the Custom Street were going for $150 yesterday, but now looking at the price at the product page you’d think that $111.38 is their normal price. I’ll monitor the situation to see if there’s a method to the madness or computers-gone-wild. The $149 in white is also offered by Amazon actual, so it’s not a case of different sellers having the featured spot. Here’s a screenshot right now versus the screenshot at the bottom of this post from Tuesday morning:
UPDATE 7/13/16 at 10:52am ET: We have one “survivor” from yesterday’s madness, it looks like the Prime Day deal put pressure on the regular price, so the Beyerdynamic Custom Street On-Ears in the black color scheme are going for $109 with free shipping for Everyone. The $99 Prime Day Deal expired. These started at $150 for non-Prime members early on Tuesday and kept dropping until they settled on $109…
The post below is the Prime Day adventure for …posterity?
