Free Beats Solo 2 Bluetooth On-Ears with select Mac purchases

Here’s one tangible outcome of the Beats purchase by Apple, free Beats! As part of their Back to School promotions (I guess it’s never too early to start those), Apple is offering a free pair of Beats Solo 2 Bluetooth On-Ears with the purchase of select Macs (desktops or laptops). Meanwhile select iPads get a free pair of Powerbeats 2 bluetooth earphones.

This happens in the shopping cart when you add both the eligible device and the eligible headphones. The shopping cart deducts the price of the headphone making it free. If you get an eligible iPad, you can instead get the Solo 2 bluetooth on-ears but you have to pay an extra $100 out of your own pocket (instead of getting the Powerbeats earphones for FREE).
