They seem to be doing well review-wise, they have over 77 reviews over there and 86 reviews at amazon.com and at both places they average around 4.5 out of 5.

PS: some of the pictures remind me of the AmazonBasics On-Ears (both the new and previous generation), but I don’t have the Able Planet yet, so I can’t compare.

UPDATE (9/16/15): you can now get them for less, $8 with free shipping, and in multiple colors of your choice at BuyDig.com. Physically they look a lot like the AmazonBasics On-Ears but I don’t have them both in hand, so I can’t compare.

These look physically similar to the AmazonBasics On-Ears but I haven’t listened to them side-by-side. Unlike other Able Planet headphones, these have a promising review profile at amazon.com, they average 4.3 out of 5 based on 32 customer reviews.

The Staples website is turning into a headphones store 😉 They have another featured discount, the Able Planet SH190 Travelers’ Choice On-Ear headphones are currently on sale for $10 per pair, with four different color schemes to pick from. These are new condition. They are on sale at the Staples website with the usual options (free ship-to-store, store pick up (if available!), and ship to your home).

Unlike previous Able Planet headphones, these seem to be faring better in reviews (they don’t have ANC), with 22 of them in, they average 4.2 out of 5 at amazon.com where a close inspection of the pictures shows they may be at least Lannister cousins to the AmazonBasics On-Ears.

The Amazon lightning deal ended but the Able Planet SH190 Travelers Choice On-Ears are also going for $15 with free shipping at BuyDig.com.

Able Planet has gotten a bit of bad rep with some of their previous ANC headphones, but perhaps they are hoping for a fresh start with these budget wired no-ANC on-ear headphones, the Able Planet SH190 Travelers Choice On-Ears which are currently on sale for $15 with free shipping, available in nine different color schemes, at BuyDig.com. These appear to be newer headphones and they are doing well with a limited number of reviews at amazon, they average 4.3 out of 5 based on 12 reviews. Some of the older Able Planet headphones were getting creamed in reviews for various issues.

I haven’t seen the SH180 in person, but judging from the pictures, it looks like they have common ancestry with the AmazonBasics On-Ears.
