They have the characteristic “AKG homage” look that shows at least some common roots with the Superlux/Samson models.
PS: the only one I have seen/touched of that whole family tree is the semi-open Samson SR-850 (a different model from the one on sale at MF) ~ see text and pictures unboxing. A review of those is in the pipeline. So far, their best use-case for me are desktop computer headphones (and low-volume speakers (!) in a quiet room).
