Only the most dedicated of the Beyerdynamic fans can keep track of all the variations of the DT770/880/990 series off the top of their heads. PS: Easy mnemonic if you can’t remember which models are closed, semi-closed, and open. The bigger the actual model number, the more open they get. The 770 is closed, the 880 is semi-open, and the 990 is open.
