The AK Jr can also serve as a USB DAC, and in addition to the 64GB of on-board storage, it can also take a microSD card (up to 64GB per the specs ~ check forums/reviews to see if higher capacities would work well).
PS: for the purposes of this blog, I am drawing the line between DACs and DAPs on the ability to play music. If something can play music, I am filing it under DAP (digital audio player). Otherwise it goes under the “Amps and DACs” category. I am resisting temptation to further break down that category because I fear I will be lost in a sea of sub-categories 🙂
