It is back on again, the over-ear semi-open AKG M220 studio headphones (a newer take on the K240) is going for $50 plus $8 flat shipping at members-only Massdrop. This offer runs for the next seven days and will ship in mid-to-late December 2016.

Speaking of AKG, their parent has a new parent! Samsung is explosively opening up their wallet (sorry, I couldn’t resist) to put down $8 billion to buy Harman (Kardon). Opening the wallet is not a figure of speech, they are paying $112 cash per share 🙂 Samsung’s primary explanation for the purchase is Harman’s automotive business. Not that that’s gonna stop a Samsung Galaxy Kardon Tiesto DJ 5000 Active Edge headphone from happening 🙂
