In a galaxy not so far away, the first generation of the officially licensed Boba Fett headphones, part of the SMS Audio and Star Wars licensing deal, are available in new condition for $37 by a couple of marketplace sellers with the orders fulfilled by Amazon (Prime eligible).

They come with a handful of accessories (see gallery picture #4 over there), including a flat football shaped zippered case, and various Star Wars geekery items. Note that these are NOT tuned for listen to the John Williams soundtracks, but they are very SMS Audio tuned, and they sound very closed.

Star Wars Closed-Back On-Ears for $40 (SMS Audio)

UPDATE 12/29/16: oops, I forgot to post the link: here’s the links 🙂

In a galaxy not so far away, the closed-back on-ear officially licensed Star Wars headphones, based on SMS Audio (50 Cent) designs, are currently available for $40 in the Stormtrooper color scheme – you can’t complain if the frequency response curve misses its target 😉 – and $45 in the Galactic Empire or Boba Fett designs. These are the first generation models.

They are sold by various sellers that are fulfilled by Amazon, so you get the usual free 2-day Prime shipping. They come with various goodies, a zippered football-shaped case, along with a poster and other Star Wars related paper-y things.

PS: these sound very closed.

Star Wars Closed On-Ears (SMS Audio) for $37 to $40

Star Wars fever is building up again as the new movie is getting closer, but the prices of their officially licensed headphones with 50 Cent’s SMS Audio continue to drop in price, you can get their closed-back on-ears as low as $37 (Chewbacca) or $37.50 (Tie Fighter) or $39 (Stormtrooper) or $40 (Rebels, Empire, Boba Fett, etc). These prices are fulfilled by Amazon from various sellers.

Star Wars On-Ears (SMS Audio) for $37.50 in Chewbacca and Tie

On the officially licensed Star Wars front, the closed-back on-ear second-generation Star Wars themed headphones, made by SMS Audio, are down to $37.50 by marketplace sellers with the order fulfilled by Amazon (Prime eligible) in the Chewbacca and Tie Fighter color schemes. They come with a case and additional Star Wars material.

While Star Wars may evoke John Williams, these headphones are tuned for today’s top 40 type of music with a closed and bass-y type of sound.

Star Wars Closed-Back On-Ears for $40 (either generation; SMS Audio)

UPDATE 7/13/16: it looks like only the Tie Fighter remains at $40 as of this time, the rest are higher…

ORIGINAL: While I continue to update the Warehouse Deals mega-post, I also run into new condition discounts as I go through various headphones. If you are a Star Wars fans both the first generation and the second generation of the officially licensed closed-back on-ears by SMS Audio have now dropped to $40, in new condition, and Prime eligible. Everyone can buy them, they are not a Prime-only promotion. Keep in mind these are based on 50 Cent’s on-ears, they have a very closed sound with the usual bass emphasis. So probably not the best way to enjoy John Williams 🙂 They come with a variety of Star Wars related extras, so perhaps they are more of a Star Wars accessory than a headphone 🙂

Star Wars SMS Audio On-Ears for $50 (1st and 2nd generation)

In a Galaxy of Hype not so far away, both the first generation and the second generation of the officially licensed Star Wars Closed On-Ear headphones by SMS Audio are on sale for $50 per pair by marketplace sellers with the orders fulfilled by Amazon. This includes models for Darth Vader, Chewbacca, R2D2, Storm Trooper, Boba Fett, Tie Fighter, and of course the real hero of Star Wars, the Galactic Empire 🙂

PS: these are new condition.

Sports Bundle of Star Wars Headphones (2nd Generation) for $90

The Star Wars fever continues and if you caught the bug, there is a Sports bundle version of the second generation of the officially licensed Star Wars headphones made by 50 Cent’s SMS Audio. This particular sports bundle is the Chewbacca edition, and it includes the standard items (Chewbaccaized (verb) headphones, case, poster, sticker, cable, cleaning cloth) along with two extra items that define the Sports bundle: a Nike Dri-Fit t-shirt and two pairs of Star Wars socks. This goes for $90 with free shipping, sold by a marketplace seller with the order fulfilled by Amazon. Limit three sets per customer.

I’m not sure any of the included items would fit the actual Chewbacca, but then again, he’s not the one who’s going to be buying them 🙂

Even though they are officially licensed, they are not tuned for listening to the John Williams soundtracks. They are a licensed version of 50 Cent’s SMS Audio on-ears which are closed-backs tuned for today’s popular and bass-flavored music. Think “Animal Ambition” 🙂

Star Wars First Generation On-Ears for $79 (four options)

The first generation of the officially licensed Star Wars headphones by SMS Audio (50 Cent) are currently all going for $79 with free shipping by various sellers at Amazon.com. The four designs are Darth Vader (of course!), the Storm Trooper, the Rebel, and Boba Fett. These are closed-back on-ears. As a group they average 4.4 out of 5 based on 78 Ewok reviews.

Star Wars SMS Audio On-Ears for $81+ (Second Edition)

In a very closed-back galaxy with most of the sound-stage evaporating in deep space, the second generation of the officially licensed SMS Audio Star Wars on-ears is dropping in price, you can get them as low as $81 fulfilled by Amazon. Check each individual item for the various seller options. No surprise there, but the more expensive of these are the Darth Vaders for $99 with free shipping from GoHastings.

Interesting ~ the First Editions are also bubbling around in a similar price range (around $90).
