EU: Philips X2 Open Over-Ears for 98 euro

Good for the next two days (or so), Amazon Germany itself is offering the new condition wired open-back over-ear Philips X2 headphones for 98 euro, with up to three pairs per customer at the sale price. This model is sandwiched between the X1 and X3, offering trade-offs of price and value and such…

This is decidedly more expensive at Amazon USA where it goes for $150…

EU: Monoprice M1070 Planar Over-Ears for 240AC euro

If you are a fan of the Monoprice Monolith planar-magnetic headphones and you are in the European Union, you are in luck, because at Amazon Germany, the Monoprice GmbH online shop is offering a 30% off clip-on coupon (in Amazon-speaker they are called “vouchers”) on the new condition Monolith M1070 open over-ears.

As of the time of writing, the current price is 360 euro. Minus 30%, it is just over 240 euro, about 1/3rd of, a very generous coupon. It averages 4.3 out of 5 based on 50 global ratings.

EU: Philips Fidelio X2HR/00 Open Over-Ears for 98 euro

Despite its existential adventures, Philips as a headphone maker/branding managed to survive and launch new former hype machine X series open-back headphones.

One of them, the Fidelio X2HR/00 is currently on sale for 98 euro in new condition as part of the Black Friday festivities at Amazon Germany

As of the time of writing, this, along with the previously mentioned Sennheiser HD 599, are sold and shipped by Amazon.de itself, not by iffy marketplace sellers. Up to three pairs per headphone model per customer…

These two are the audiophile headliners that are part of a six headphone sale at Amazon Germany that also includes:

+ Denon D5200 for 369 euro
+ Denon D7200 for 479 euro
+ interestingly these are also model numbers of Nikon DSLR cameras!

+ Philips SHC5200/05 FM wireless for 38 euro

+ Panasonic SC-GN01 Gaming Neck Speaker with Built-in Microphone for 134 euro

Which also raises the question, how close to your ear must the speakers be for it to be considered a headphone and not a speaker? Or is it a hybrid speaker-headphone? 😉

EU: Sennheiser HD 599 Open Over-Ears for 91 euro

For those in the EU, and those who can favorably shop from the EU, for a limited time, as part of the Black Friday festivities, Amazon Germany is offering the new condition wired open-back over-ear Sennheiser HD 599 headphones for 91 euro with free shipping in Germany and friends. Otherwise you pay flat shipping plus the weight of the shipped product…

This is the black SE variant, not the ivory color scheme…

EU: Philips X2HR Open Over-Ears for 100 euro

For those shopping in the unUnited States of Europe, aka The European Onion, aka the European Union, Amazon Germany is having a limited time sale on the new condition open-back over-ear Philips X2HR/00 offered for 100 euro with free shipping in Germany and such…

At the same price, a dueling banjos sale, is the new condition Sennheiser HD 599 open-back over-ears…

EU: Sennheiser HD 300 Closed Over-Ears for 29 euro

If you are in the EU, or if you can shop from the EU advantegiously, there is a sale at the moment [not a daily deal] on the new condition closed-back over-ear lightweight (but with those nice thick pads) Sennheiser HD 300 foldable headphones by Amazon Germany itself with up to three pairs per customer at the sale price…

Oops, I forgot, the sale price is 29 euro. Shipping depends on where you are. There might be a European Union but no Union for Prime benefits even though Amazon takes advantages of warehouses across the EU and the UK 😉

These average 4.6 out of 5 based on 730+ global ratings as of the time of writing of this blog-post…

I haven’t seen or touched the HD 300 but we have here a text and pictures unboxing of the older HD 4.20S which have similar thick-pad technology…

Thick pad of the HD 4.20S below [more pictures at the unboxing post above]…

EU: Sennheiser HD 560S drops to 161 euro

While the Sennheiser HD 560 S open over-ears remains hard to find in the USA, in Europe, we have the first sizable discount, as of the time of writing it is down to 161 euro at Amazon Germany sold and shipped by Amazon Germany actual…

NOTE however that prices at Amazon Germany tend to fluctuate and oscillate between price-points, so the price you see over there may vary depending on which time of the day you check over there…

… BUT as of the time of writing the shipping estimate is “Usually dispatched within 1 to 2 months.”… These Amazon estimates are rather nebulous, sometimes they get to you faster, sometimes not. In general, Amazon tries not to over-promise a fast delivery to prevent disappointments and such…

As to whether one should get the HD560S or HD6XX or HD600 or Jubilee or something else from another manufacturer, well, the internet and the audiophoolia forums are full of opinions 🙂

And as they say about opinions… they are like onions, they may make you cry 😉

Tin Hifi P1 In-Ears: $159 NEW or 98e USED

We have a trans-atlantic deal-post here on the Tin Hifi P1 flagship in-ears!

In new condition, at Amazon USA, there’s a limited time $10 off clip-on coupon that brings the price down to $159 with free US shipping… This is sold by “Linsoul Audio” with the order fulfilled by Amazon (free 2-day Prime shippings)…

In USED condition, we fly to Amazon Germany where as of the time of writing there is one unit left in “USED – Like New” condition for 98 euro…

EU: Sennheiser HD 560S drops to 192 euro

Attention European shoppers! As of the time of writing the price of the new condition open-back over-ear Sennheiser HD 560S is down to 192 euro at Amazon Germany by Amazon Germany actual. This price oscillates between
192 and 199 euro depending on when you look at it.

Staying at the EU, and speaking of Sennheiser, you can get the new condition closed-back over-ear Sennheiser HD 300 lightweight for 39 euro at Amazon Germany… This should not be confused with the Sennheiser HD 300 PRO studio headphones!

Both of these are “organic sales”, not part of any lightning deals or deals of the day, so the prices can (or cannot) change at any time and for any reason (which of course the Amazon AI price bots do not explain to us mere mortals)…

EU: Sennheiser HD560S In-Stock for 195 euro

European e-shoppers, your time has come if you want to jump on the Sennheiser HD 560 S open-back over-ear wired bandwagon! As of the time of writing, the headphone is marked in-stock and ready to ship for 195 euro at Amazon Germany

In Ameereeka, the HD560S has “disappeared” from the Amazon website. It may sound like a strange thing, but on rare occasion historically this type of thing happens at Amazon with high-demand but hard-to-find items.

No need to panic, the headphone is NOT disappearing from the US market. New York’s B&H Photo has it in “Coming Soon” status and accepting pre-orders of it for $200…

Of course by the time it gets here, the hype train may decide to move on to a different train station, mayhaps the Koss KPH-30i 😉

EU Amazons: 30% off select Warehouse Deals headphones

Good until the end of November, some of the European Amazon websites are offering 30% off on select items that are in “Warehouse Deals”, their used products sales arm. The items must be sold by “Warehouse Deals” actual, not by other marketplace sellers.

+ at Amazon Germany they have nearly 900 headphone options, including some high-end gear like the Fostex TH-610, AKG K872, A&K IEMs, Philips X3, B&W, etc

+ at Amazon France they have over 850 options but the product coding seems to sometimes be off, so it may include some non-headphone items

+ at Amazon UK they have over 1000 options and they include the V-Moda M200, AKG K712, M&D, etc

+ similarly you can go through and check Amazon Spain, Italy, and don’t forget the more recently-launched Holland and Sweden

KEEP IN MIND, quantities of used items are often very limited. They may have only one unit of some of the items. The more niche usually, the smaller the quantity. Note also that some of these things may be a common inventory among the various EU Amazons. BREXIT does not kick in until 2021…

[DEAD] EU deal: Open Over-Ear Philips X2HR/00 for 112 euro

UPDATE: as of 10/14/20 recheck, this offer is dead in that the lowest price shown is $200~ and Amazon’s own offering is gone, so there is some hope it may return if it got pulled for some reason. The fact that Amazon’s own price hasn’t gone up is a little bit hopeful 🙂

Philips has “reactivated” as they have also launched the X3 which currently goes for $250 at Amazon USA, but if you are looking for the previous generation X2HR, it goes for 113 euro at Amazon Germany

The 112 euro is an “organic” price, it is not a Prime day deal, so anyone can buy it…

Used Sabaj D2 DAC/amp for $28 [NEW for 34 euro]

This is a general purpose “organic” deal, not a Prime deal, so anyone can get it. Furthermore this is mixed USA/EU, so please do pay attention to the location of each item mentioned below…

If you are in (or shopping from) the Amazon USA, Amazon Warehouse Deals actual has in “Used – Like New” condition the Sabaj D2 DAC/amp for $28 with free US shipping. This is in the silver-black color scheme. The new condition price is $42 in either color scheme.

Those shopping in the EU, y’all can get the new condition in the black/silver color scheme for 34 euro at Amazon Germany

As of the time of writing, it averages 4.2 out of 5 based on 55 ratings at Amazon USA, and 3.9 out of 5 based on 35 ratings at Amazon Germany [mayhaps those East Germany gymnastics judges are audiophiles as well?].

These have three audio inputs (microUSB, optical, coaxial) and has RCA output [for the DAC part] and 3.5mm headphone output.

USED: EU Prime Days: 20% off select items Warehouse Deals

Prime Day 2020 is well under way in the European Union and if you are fond of fishing for good used deals, AND if you are a Prime member (or don’t mind starting a free 30-day trial), a number of the European Amazons are offering 20% off the current used prices of gear that are sold by Amazon Warehouse Deals (not by the marketplace/3rd-party sellers over there).

Here’s an example of the offer at Amazon Germany. You can find the offer in the other EU Amazons by going to their Warehouse Deals pages…

EU: Focal Spark In-Ears for 19 euro

This is not a Prime Deal, anyone can buy it, I run into it while surfing around looking for Prime Day deals. Illel Hifi of Paris through Amazon France is offering the silver color scheme of the Focal Spark in-ears in new condition for 19 euro. The other colors go for more.

Headphones invade Amazon UK Prime Day deals (HD599 SE, NW-A55L, M50X, MSR7B, AKG, Etc)

If you can shop favorably from Amazon UK [remember, for those in the EU, the Brexit shopping changes will come in 2021, so you can still get them now as before], the first day of Prime Day 2020 is up and running at Amazon UK and it has plenty of headphone offers and music-related headphones, including:

DAPs
+ Sony Walkman NW-A55L digital audio player for 129 GBP in four (!) color schemes

EU: Shure SRH-840 Closed Over-Ears for 105 euro

Shure may surely sound like a Germanic type of company that goes along with the Sennheiser-Beyerdynamic-AKG trio, but it was actually founded in Chicago. But mayhaps to attract the European audience, as of the time of writing, their new condition closed-back over-ear studio-y SRH-840 headphones are on sale for 105 euro at Amazon Germany, sold and shipped by Amazon.de actual, not iffy marketplace sellers…

This is part of the well-known studio-y line-up starting with the lesser known 240A, then the formerly-frequent guest in the “$100 recommendations” SRH-840, then the SRH-940. There’s also the “new line-up” with the 1XX0 that has both open and closed headphones…

EU: Philips X2 HR/00 Open Over-Ears for 120 euro

For the European-ly inclined, for a limited time [not a gold box lightning deal] Amazon Germany actual is offering the new condition open-back over-ear Philips X2 HR/00 headphones for 120 euro, with a limit of two pairs per customer…

With the X2 prices going down and the good old SHP-9500* prices going up, the X2 may not be a bad idea. As of the time of writing, they average 4.6 out of 5 based on 1080+ customer ratings over there.

EU: Shure SRH-440 Closed Over-Ears for 69 euro [limit 2]

For those in the European Union, a formerly frequently recommended “under 100” is on sale at Amazon Germany, it is the new condition closed-back over-ear Shure SRH-440 studio headphones going for 70 euro with free shipping in GermanyxAustria, with up to two pairs per customer at the sale price. There it averages 4.4 out of 5 based on 840+ customer reviews…

EU: Sennheiser HD 599 Open Over-Ears [Ivory] for 130 euro

As we just mentioned in the previous post, the black color scheme of the Sennheiser HD 599 goes for $130 in the US market, but not the Ivory…

On the other hand, things are in the opposite direction in the European market. The black color scheme goes for 200 euro but the Ivory color scheme is on sale for 130 euro (short for “euro-dollars?) by Amazon Germany with a limit of two per customer at the sale price. This is not a lightning deal, so expiration time is unknown…

Together both colors average 4.5 out of 5 based on 1280+ customer ratings and they have 47 answered questions.

Funny how simple wired headphones have a lot fewer questions than wireless and headphones with mic/remote. I wonder why ^_^

EU: Beyerdynamic Beat Byrd In-Ears for 25 euro

Not sure where Beyerdynamic gets their ideas for the names of their earphones, but their new condition “Beat Byrd” wired in-ears (no mic/remote) are currently on sale for around 25 euro at Amazon Germany, sold by the official Amazon store over there. They average 4.1 out of 5 based on 30 customer reviews.
