These introductory lightning-deals ended. From what I recall, they were $20 off discounts. In addition to the M-Audio Super DAC and the M-Audio Micro DAC, there was also a smaller one, the Bass Traveler, that is kinda a Fiio E6 competitor but with dual 1/8″ outputs and the word “Bass” repeated 403 times in the product name (exaggeration)…

The M-Audio Super DAC is a new product that is scheduled to be released on September 1st (2015) and on this very date, starting at 10am eastern, Amazon is planning to have it as a lightning deal (these typically last four hours) according to the Gold Box. I don’t know what the sale price is going to be. The price as of blog-posting time is $150. Do a close-up on pictures #2 and #3 over there to see all the inputs and outputs. This is USB powered with optional (not included) AC adapter.
But wait, there’s more! Also starting at 10am ET on Tuesday there’s gonna be a lightning deal on the M-Audio Micro DAC. This is USB powered, has headphone and digital outputs, and a gain switch. Do a close-up on the pictures over there for the ports and buttons. The price as of posting time (before the sale) is $100
This is a bit of an unusual approach, putting products on release date as a lightning deal, but it is certainly one way to generate some extra buzz on release date. The sale prices for both will be revealed over there at the Amazon product pages at 10am eastern (7am pacific) on Amazon.
