Musician’s Friend (MF) has a new rewards program called The Backstage Pass offering you 8% rewards on every $1 spent. The rewards can be redeem into promotional MF gift certificates that you can use in future purchases.
The rewards benefits include
- VIP phone support via members only phone line
- special offer on one’s own birthday
- priority access to new gear (does not specify specifics)
- special sales and events
- a 300-page catalog (does not say if it’s digital or by mail)
- free to join/participate
Signing Up For the Rewards account
So how do you sign up and what kind of information do you have to give? I am using myself as a guinea pig. Here’s the summary, this is Signing up as a New Customer (not an existing customer):
- you enter name, email, password
- that’s all it takes to get your rewards account created
- optional: you can then fill in any additional customer information using the My Account page
- note: if later on you want to change your name or email, the page insists that you also provide a phone number
On Catalogs
If you are interested in the catalog, I am not sure how you get it. I just signed up for the rewards program, and the Welcome email mentions it but doesn’t say how to get it or whether it’s digital or a printed catalogue sent by mail.
Regardless, if you are a catalog fan, there is a 148-page digital catalog open to everyone (using Flipp technology).
