Cowon P1 Plenue DAP for $800 [was $750]

I jinxed it! As of late 12/7/15, the price went up, the lowest price is $800 by Amazon actual.

While not reaching mainstream status (yet?), audiophile-flirting digital audio players are having a resurgence with many models coming from various directions. One of them is on sale, the Cowon P1 Plenue is on sale for $750 with free shipping by JetAudio fulfilled by Amazon, so free 2-day Prime shipping for members. This has a Burr-Brown PCM1792A DAC among other features.

PS: for blog-categorization purposes, if a DAC/amp type of a device can also play music on its own (such as this one), I tag it under Digital Audio Players. If it cannot play music, then I tag it under AMPs and DACs. I am tempted to separate amps and DACs category-wise, but I don’t want to create multiple overlapping categories since there are at least three options, and that’s before you consider tube amps, and hybrid tube amps, and so forth. So for now, it’s one category for them all. Future headaches prevented 🙂
