On the very budget side of things, Amazon Germany is offering for a limited time as part of their Black Friday festivities a sale on various of their housebrand Amazon Basics products and one of them is this little red budget earphone going for just 3 euro per pair with up to six pairs per customer. They have a 1-button remote and mic. Only the red color is on sale. They average 4.6 out of 5 based on six customer ratings…

UPDATE: speaking of Amazon Germany, they are having a Sony audio sale and that includes:

+ WH-XB700 “Extra Bass” bluetooth on-ears for 85 euro in two color options

+ MDR-ZX310 closed on-ears for 13 euro
+ from my experience, this and the ZX100 sound as if they were tuned in a modestly loud coffee shop; I would recommend them as a coffee shop headphone; not so good when it’s quiet

Big Massdrop BF sale (21 options; more coming): DT1770, PortaPro X, ATH-AD/A, HE-4XX, Liquid, Noble, Etc

Massdrop is having a Big Black Friday sale with 21 headphone-related products participating. More are coming later on Black Friday as they have teased a Sennheiser HD 6XX (price before sale $220) sale as well.

These average 4.3 out of 5 based on 102 customer reviews…

And that’s it for Monoprice deals for this week ~ unless something even better comes along of course 🙂

UPDATE: how could I forget? The bluetooth version of an all-time classic, the 8323 closed-back over-ears with apt-X is on sale for $20 with free US shipping with up to twenty pairs per customer at the sale price. I had the non-bluetooth and it’s definitely worth the price ~ however it’s not as big as it looks (for those with really big heads) and fully extended, you look like one of those robots from the 50s scifi movies ~ at least they are not silver 🙂

Sennheiser M2 IEi Wired In-Ears for $35

NewEgg is now running a variant of their Black Friday sale and among those offers they do have a Headphone section, the headliner of which is the new condition Sennheiser M2 IEi HD1 wired in-ears with Apple buttons going for just $35 with free US shipping. This is sold and shipped by NewEgg so you know you are not getting an iffy/international/etc product…

The sale is on both the black/red (looks stylish from the pictures) and the black/chrome (looks more conventional/streamlined in the pictures) options…

Singles Day sales include KZ IEMs and Xiaomi Over-Ears for $46

It’s Singles Day all around the world as the time zones come and go, which is why some of the offers last for 48 hours or longer. And some of the 11.11 offers are headphones.

For example, at GearBest you can get the closed-back over-ear Xiaomi for $46 with free shipping. There’s also a few offers for small discounts listed on the page there (eg pay with PayPal, first time customers, etc) so check there before buying…

Also on sale are various KZ in-ears at Gearbest, with all the participating models having the “Flash Sale” tag near to them…

A lot more sales can be found at Ali Express where there’s an official Fiio store among others… There’s also Xduoo action and lots more ~ their internal search box and menus are your friends when it comes to finding product(s) of interest…

Also part of the sales is various sizes of Sandisk microSD cards offered by a 3rd-party seller at Aliexpress…

KZ ZS10 PrO IEMs for $40 to $43 [MD]

If you are ready to jump into the KZ budget hype train or if you want more for yourself or as gifts for others, for the next two days and change (as of the time of writing of this post), Massdrop is offering the new condition KZ ZS10 PRO in-ears for $40 with free US shipping. Shipment is estimated to be in early December 2019 so it should get to you on time for holiday gift-giving purposes [but always, regardless of the situation, have a Plan B to go to in case of unforeseen trouble]…

The $40 is without a mic/remote but if you wish a mic/remote, that model goes for $43 and it is available in three color options.

These will ship from Massdrop itself. There is no mention of a warranty in the listing…

Used RHA CL-750 In-Ears for $49

This is a haircut of about $30 compared to the new condition price.

Wedn: Klipsch earphones: AS-5i for $20, R5 wireless for $50

Woot’s Wednesday October 30 (2019) deals of the day include a duo of Klipsch earphones on sale. In new condition, with a 1-year warranty from Klipsch. Just don’t get caught by r/headphones users wearing them because instant ostracisation is very likely 😉

+ R5 wireless (bluetooth) neckband earphones for $50

Limit up to ten per customer. Sale ends at 11:59pm central or earlier if sold out…

Tuesday: Westone W60 IEMs for $500

Good until 10/29/19 at 11:59pm ET, B&H Photo is offering the new condition Westone W60 six-driver IEMs for $500 with free US shipping. Per the listing this only ships to the USA. This is one of their daily deals, thus the deadline.

But they also have it available in USED condition starting at $375 and the used price is organic, it is not part of the daily deals (unless somehow the shopping cart AIs adjust used prices based on daily deals as well)…

Friday: Philips SE CL-502 in-ears for $9

On the utilitarian single-figure front, good for Friday 10/25/19, Newegg is offering as part of its daily deals the new condition Philips SE CL-502 basic in-ears for $9 with free US shipping. Up to three per customer at the sale price.

PS: this has one review, a 1-star review, but it appears to be a confused user, as the complaint is that there is no mic/remote. The spartan listing does not promise that, neither the gallery picture of the packaging has any hints of a mic/remote. But it is also possible that the listing may have been edited or had previously been hijacked by marketplace sellers.

Tuesday: Razer Hammerhead IEMs for $40 to $60 [also lots of storage and memory]

A busy day in the Amazon Gold Box daily deals for Tuesday October 22 in the year of 2019, there’s a big PC Products and Accessories sale that has almost 30 different products. There are two in-ears in this sale, along with lots of storage options for your portable devices but also for your home network and storage!

+ Razer Hammerhead Duo wired in-ears for $40

But WAIT, there’s more! There’s more microSD sales at the daily deals of a couple of other retailers:

+ 256GB Sandisk Ultra PLUS microSDXC for $45 at Best Buy

+ 128GB G-Skill microSDXC for $13 at NewEgg

UPDATE: and among the chaos of the Gold Box deals I forgot about this: one of the Tuesday Best Buy daily deals is the new condition MEE Audio BTR portable bluetooth audio receiver going for $25…

Sunday: B&W C5 Series 2 IEMs for $120

Good for Sunday October 20 in 2019, the Best Buy website, as one of their daily deals, is offering the new condition C5 Series 2 IEMs for $120 with free shipping in the USA or free store pickup where this is available and possible… The earphones average 4.3 out of 5 based on 120 customer reviews at Best Buy…

EU: Beyerdynamic Beat Byrd In-Ears for 25 euro

Not sure where Beyerdynamic gets their ideas for the names of their earphones, but their new condition “Beat Byrd” wired in-ears (no mic/remote) are currently on sale for around 25 euro at Amazon Germany, sold by the official Amazon store over there. They average 4.1 out of 5 based on 30 customer reviews.

NuForce BE Sport3 bluetooth in-ears for $28 w/FS

Monoprice HR-3 triple driver IEMs for $35 w/FS

There’s a new sale at the Monoprice website, with free US shipping as of the time of writing, you can get their new condition HR-3 triple driver IEMs for the very specific price of $35.01 with up to twenty pairs per customer at the sale price. These IEMs average 4.6 out of 5 based on a soccer team (= eleven) of customer reviews with about as many answered-questions.

Speaking of Monoprice, one of their classic headphones now with bluetooth is back on sale, the new condition 8323 with bluetooth closed-back over-ears go for $24 with free US shipping with up to twenty pairs per customer. I had the original non-bluetooth version and the price was definitely right, however, there is a warning for big heads – despite its over-ear status and despite the fact that the headband extends widely making you look like a 1950s scifi robot, it is not as roomy as it looks. I was able to just barely fit in and I don’t have the biggest of big heads.

IMR Zenith R1 In-Ears for $250 [five filters included]

IMR, not to be confused with Ymir from Attack on Titan is offering their R1 Zenith in-ears for a limited time for $275 with free US shipping at the Massdrop website [yes, they changed their name to the more generic “Drop” but I still prefer “Massdrop” ~ it has more personality].

These are great for tinkerers because you get five audio filters included and each one has a different sound signature. They are described with a sentence each over there under the “Filter Sounds” segment. Trigger warning: the word “lush” is used often 🙂

Also included are seven pairs of eartips, a hard case, two cables for the earphones and the obligatory [although not every single headphones includes it these days] 6.5mm adapters.

Orders will ship in early October 2019 from Massdrop. There’s no mention of warranty in the listing, so assume there is none.

Grab Bag Returns: MEE Audio bluetooth earphones for $25 each

If you like the semi-surprise of “grab bag” style offerings, Massdrop is back with another variant of their MEE Audio “blue box” offering running for the next four days and change (from the time of writing of this post).

You pay $25 (with free US shipping) and for that you are guaranteed to receive one (randomly chosen) earphone from this list:

  • MEE M6B (2019 model)
  • MEE M9B (2019 model)
  • MEE X6 (2018 model)
  • MEE X7 in red

As you may be able to tell from the model names, all four are necklace-style bluetooth earphones. The chances are evenly split in this grab bag, so there’s no statistical favorite. Limit up to ten “blue boxes” per customer.

Prizes “unlock” every few hundred units sold, and if you are one of the lucky few, you will receive the prizes (AKG K7XX, NuForce EDC) instead of the MEEs. Not sure what happens if you don’t want the price and instead you want the actual thing you paid for?

Per the Massdrop website, the selection happens in this fashion:

“Participants will have their order number swirled around in a random number generator that allocates IEMs accordingly”

Sunday: B&W C5 S2 and Beats X In-Ears, 6-ch Marantz head-amp

A trio of headphone-related daily deals is happening on Sunday 9/8/19 as follows, ending at 11:59pm in the timezone of each retailer below (or earlier for any item that manages to run out ahead of its designated expiration time):

Tuesday daily deals: B&O H9i, MEE Audio M6 II In-Ears, SoundMagic PL30+, 256GB Samsung microSD, Etc

+ at Best Buy, they offer the new condition B&O H9i ANC/bluetooth over-ears for $350 with free shipping or free store pickup (where possible) in the “Natural” color scheme

+ at NewEgg, they want to feed your DAPs and PADs, coupon code 92RDX3 gets you the 256GB Samsung EVO micro SDXC card for $38

+ at the Amazon Headphones Lightning deals, the following recognizable earphones are scheduled to go live during Tuesday:

+ starts 9:10pm ET: SoundMAGIC PL30+ Active Sport In-Ears (price before sale $24)

+ and of course throughout the day, it’s full of truly wireless and necklace (and some neckband) style earphones; oh, there’s also a cat-ears on-ear headphone (presumably for kids (of all ages?)? )

Monoprice Triple Driver IEMs for $30 w/FS

On the budget side of triple driver IEMs, with a reasonable 4.3 out of 5 based on 99 customer reviews, the Monoprice website is offering the new condition Triple Driver IEMs for $30 with free standard US shipping. No coupon needed but it is a limited time sale. It has a 1-button remote/mic and thankfully the “XXX” has been removed from its name 🙂

Speaking of Monoprice, they are offering the new condition M565 planar open over-ears for $170 with free US shipping…

$5 off coupon: Linsoul KZ ZS10 IEMs

When you are logged on to your Amazon account, you can clip a $5 off “green” coupon to your account for various colors and options of the new condition Linsoul KZ ZS10 in-ears, a 5-driver model with four balanced armatures and one dynamic.

They have detachable 2-pin cables. Their prices hover around $50 as of the time of writing depending on color/option. The option is with or without a mic/remote. They average 4.6 out of 5 based on 101 customer reviews and they have 21 answered questions…

Monday: Razer Gaming Headsets and Hammerhead in-ears

It’s Razer day at the Woot daily deals for Monday 8/26/19 with a number of gaming products including the following headphone-related items:

+ Hammerhead bluetooth earphones for $60, for iOS for $74
+ these are multiple-flanged, so keep that in mind if you like or don’t like this style of in-ear insertion

+ four over/on-ear headsets ranging from $48 (D.Va Meka) to $120 (Tiamat 7.1 V2) with the Man-O-War TE for $60 and the Kraken Pro V2 for $64 in-between.

All these are new condition with a 2-year Razer warranty.

PS: speaking of gaming, there’s a clearance sale on MSI computers in the “Computers” Woot daily deal…

Thursday (starts 9:20am ET): HifiWalker A1 and A2 Gold Box offers

If you are a fan of the Hifi Walker brand and want to get them with Amazon Prime shipping (instead of waiting for the tall chi-fi ships to arrive), then today, Thursday August 22 in 2019 there are two Gold Box Lightning Deals scheduled on them as follows:

+ starts 9:20am ET: Hifi Walker A1 in-ears
+ price before the sale is $24~

+ starts 9:40am ET: Hifi Walker A2 in-ears
+ price before the sale is $23~

Tin Audio T3 IEMs for $60 [MD]

I’ve fallen behind on the latest Massdrop offerings, and since I can’t post them all at once, I’m starting with something small (in-ears) and reasonably priced ($60) and popular with Massdrop shoppers (over 2,500 units sold). It is the new condition Tin Audio T3 IEMs going for $60 with free US shipping.

IT comes with a 1-year manufacturer warranty and will ship in late August from Massdrop. This has MMCX connectors.

Now shipping: Monoprice multi-driver IEMs including the Quintet

The “Driver Wars” did not fail to gain traction at the Monoprice website and now they have up to five drivers in their latest in-ears. The Quintet (five drivers per side as the name suggests) goes for $80, the Quartet goes for $60, and the Trio goes for $50.

That’s about $16 per driver because headphone drivers are just like buying groceries by the pound or storage by the gigabyte 🙂

These have a detachable cable and they are new enough they don’t have any customer reviews on the Monoprice website. This is the first time I’ve heard of these, so I know nothing Jon Snow about them 🙂

Speaking of which, this is a handy link, it shows the last new products to hit the Monoprice online store. This is all products, not audio-related only…

Monday (starts 6:49pm ET): TIN T2 PRO IEMs lightning deal

Speaking of lightning deals, starting at 6:09pm ET they are gonna have an offer on the new condition Tin Audio T2 PRO in-ears. There are three different models on the same listing, so it’s possible the others may also be on sale, or maybe one of the others is on sale instead. Unfortunately the Gold Box teasers are not very deterministic in situations where there are multiple models on the same root listing.

Note also that the T2 PRO has a $3 off clip-on coupon on its product page which should be stackable with the lightning deal discount. You have to be logged on to your Amazon account in order to clip the coupon to your Amazon account.

Starting at the same time they’ll have a lightning deal on a 2019 TaoTronics ANC/bluetooth combo headphone which goes for $70 before the sale. It is available in three different color schemes… I’m not familiar with all these new budget ANC/bluetooth combos, so be sure to check reviews and forums and such if you are not already familiar with them…

Monday (starts 12:49pm ET): KZ ES4 Lightning Deal

If you are a fan of the way KZ is doing in-ears and you don’t want to wait for a few weeks for these to arrive from China, starting at 12:49pm ET on Monday 8/19/19, there will be a lightning deal on the KZ ES4 in-ears at Amazon USA. Note that there are multiple options on the listing: different colors and with/without a microphone. We do not know ahead of time which one(s) of the options will be the lightning deal, so be sure to check the various options or go through the headphone tag in the Amazon Gold Box to find it quickly…

Monday (EU): Sony and Anker Headphone sale

It is Sony day at the Amazon Germany Gold Box or as the cool kids in Germany like to call it, the Ange Bote 😉 Among the Sony products on sale they have the following headphones on sale for Monday August 19 in 2019:

+ ZX-310 closed on-ears for 15 euro
+ I had this headphone in my to-go bag for a while, I swear this must have been tuned in a moderately busy coffee shop because it sounds very serviceable there but when you listen to it in a quiet place, it sounds quite un-audiophile

+ ZX-330BT bluetooth on-ears for 39 euro

+ MDR-XB950N1 ANC/bluetooth closed over-ears for 90 euro two color options

+ WH-H900N ANC/bluetooth closed over-ears for 160 in three color options
+ yes, Sony has a multi-tier approach for their ANC/bluetooth combos

BUT that’s not all. When you further scroll through the daily deals, there’s also a combo Anker and Soundcore sale. Soundcare is an Anker sub-brand because it sounds more audio-ish than Anker? Anyway, their offerings for Monday:

+ Soundcore Life2 closed bluetooth over-ears for 38 euro

+ Soundcore Spirit X exercise bluetooth earphones for 25 euro
+ Anker SoundBuds slim bluetooth earphones for 21 euro

+ Soundcore Liberty truly wireless earphones for 60 euro
+ mono wireless headset for 12 euro

+ and of course the obligatory handful of portable bluetooth speakers

Wedn: PowerBeats 3 bluetooth earphones for $70

Good until 11:59pm ET on Wednesday August 14 in 2019, at B&H Photo, you can get the new condition PowerBeats 3 bluetooth earphones, part of their “Neighborhood Collection” in the asphalt gray color scheme, going for $70 with free US shipping…

1More Piston Fit in-ears for $10 [four colors]

On the budget side of things, four different color schemes of the new condition 1More Piston Fit in-ears are down to $10 by Amazon actual and you can buy as many as you want. They average 3.9 out of 5 based on 130+ customer reviews. They have a single button remote with a mic. Some of the colors look nice in the pictures (blue, pink) but I haven’t seen them in person, so YMMV…

Speaking of 1More, their new condition Dual Driver in-ears are on sale for the very specific price of $32.40 in the black color scheme. These average 3.8 out of 5 based on nearly 200 customer reviews BUT the reviews of the dual-driver and single-driver are grouped together, so you have to dig into the customer reviews to see which one is for which…

Sony WI-C310 bluetooth earphones for $28

Singing the same MAP song, many authorized Sony dealers have dropped the price of the new condition WI-C310 bluetooth earphones in different color schemes to $28 for the duration of this promotion, eg amazon.com with its many marketplace sellers…

AmazonBasics Fitness bluetooth earphones for $16 [limit 3]

On the budget side of things, under Amazon’s very own “AmazonBasics” brand, you can get the new condition Fitness bluetooth earphones (necklace style) for $16 in the green-black color scheme with up to three pairs per customer at the sale price…

Two of the four colors are gone, so this might be a product heading for discontinuation. It averages 3.3 out of 5 based on 130 customer reviews and it has 30 peer-answered questions. The review score average and the distribution pattern of stars suggest a product with multiple trade-offs, so be sure to read upon it before buying…
