PS: if you don’t want to deal with the mail-in rebate, $150 is not a bad price either. It still beats Amazon’s $160.
PS: if you can’t easily remember which ones are open and closed in this Beyerdynamic line-up, here’s a little mnemonic for the DT 770, 880 and 990. The higher the number, the more open they get. The 770 is closed, the 880 is semi-open, and the 990 is open.
