Koss UR-23i Light Over-Ears for $8.49

The earpads are the headphones (almost) in this new budget model from KOSS, and the blue color scheme, in new condition, is currently on sale for $8.49 by a marketplace seller with the orders fulfilled by Amazon. “It” refers to the Koss UR-23-iB model in blue, while the black color scheme, aka the the Koss UR-23-iK goes for $12.59, likewise fulfilled by Amazon. The other two color schemes go for $20.

If you prefer the black color scheme but want to pay single figures, you can get it in open-box condition for $7 by marketplace seller with the orders fulfilled by Amazon.

Free 2-day shipping for Prime members (shhhh, don’t tell Amazon’s bots; it’s not an add-on item), or with a $25+ order. This is not a lightning deal, so expiration time unknown. Soundmagic too has open-back headphones, the HP200, and they are currently available in “Used – Good” condition for $76~ with free shipping by Amazon Warehouse Deals actual. No further description is given on their condition. Build quality complaints drag their review score to 3.2 out of 5 based a dozen of them, so keep that in mind, especially if you are planning to use them in more challenging situations.

Used Audio-Technica ATH-ANC50iS ANC for $25

We continue our dive into Amazon Warehouse Deals with the Audio-Technica ATH-ANC50iS active noise cancelling headphones. They go for $99 in new condition, but you can get them for about 1/4th of that price in “Used – Very Good” condition by Amazon Warehouse Deals actual. For higher risk purchases, a couple of marketplace sellers offer it refurbished for around $20 with free shipping, but shipping directly from them (not Prime eligible). You can also filter the options by Prime on the left hand side. These are powered by a single AAA battery, so a plus for fans of user-replaceable batteries and/or AAA rechargeables. They average 3.5 out of 5 based on 23 customer reviews.

As usual with ANC headphones, if you are not planning to use them for ANC most of the time, you are probably better served getting non-ANC closed-back models with good isolation.

Used Bowers & Wilkins PX ANC/BT Over/On-Ears for $295

I just started a mini dive into Amazon Warehouse Deals, so expect some used posts in a row (depending on what I find). As with most things blog, the newer posts will appear above it, not below it, since reverse-chronological order makes the most sense for time-sensitive type of posting.

The new condition Bowers & Wilkins PX active noise cancelling bluetooth headphones go for $400 in new condition, but if you are comfortable with used, you can shave about 1/4th of the price by getting them in “Used – Very Good” condition for $295~ with free shipping at Amazon Warehouse Deals. They have two listings, both are damaged original packaging, with minor cosmetic imperfections on the item (item = the headphones in this case).

PS: I can’t tell from the shape of the earpads/earcups whether these are over-ear or on-ears, thus the all-encompassing “Over/On-Ears” 🙂
