Sony MDR-1000X BT/ANC Over-Ears drop to $298

In the Battle of the $300+ over-ear bluetooth with active noise cancellation, Sony has fired another shot by dropping the price of their new condition MDR-1000X down to $298 with free shipping at Amazon by Amazon actual with a limit of up to three units per color (black or grey-beige) per customer. These average 4.2 out of 5 based on 430+ customer reviews and they nearly 350 customer reviews.

Of Bluetooth interest, these support LDAC whose prominence will likely increase once Android 8.0 (Oreo? the name will be officially revealed during the Eclipse on Monday by the …luna-tics at Google) arrives, since Sony worked with Google to bake into Android 8. But as usual, it is still an unknown as to how and whether the various manufacturers and individual phones will support both Android 8.0 and LDAC.
