Able Planet SH190 Travel On-Ears for $7 w/free shipping

Colorful on-ear headphones action now, BuyDig.com is offering multiple colors of the Able Planet SH190 Travel On-Ears for $7 with free shipping. These include a soft carrying pouch and a detachable cable with in-line volume control. These are wired headphones, none of the Able Planet nonsense ANC crapola.

They seem to be doing well review-wise, they have over 77 reviews over there and 86 reviews at amazon.com and at both places they average around 4.5 out of 5.

PS: some of the pictures remind me of the AmazonBasics On-Ears (both the new and previous generation), but I don’t have the Able Planet yet, so I can’t compare.

Shure SRH-145 or SRH-144 drop to $29 each [also: SRH-145m+ down to $39]

Shure update. Their entry into the sub-$50 consumer on-ear market has a noticeable discount. You can now get the closed-back on-ear SRH-145 (no mic/remote) for $29 (limit 27, perhaps that’s how many they have left, the limit is usually 30). If you prefer the Apple 3-button mic/remote, you can get the SRH-145m+ (with mic/remote) for $39 with a limit 30.

These are sold by Amazon actual, so the usual free shipping terms apply. Combined, over there, they average 4.1 out of 5 based on 60+ customer reviews.

Along with the above closed-back models, Shure also release a semi-open version, the SRH-144 (no mic/remote) which is also on sale for $29 (limit 27). It averages 4.2 out of 5 based on 8 customer reviews.

For the SRH-145, on the content side of this blog (without the deals sub-domain) we have an unboxing post (orange and blue attack of colors!) and an unfinished experimental Review Diary. The blog-theme over there is experimental as well 🙂

PS: I haven’t used the other two models, so I can’t tell you how similar they sound.
